LOL love the self healing part.  Umm no it doesnt thats where the rust starts. Nothings better then a fully primed sealed and painted frame like RAM and Ford and Toyota use.

Protip:

The truck will be scrap long before the frame.

Jbrockltd, welcome to the forum.

Although not from Canada, my 2014 Silverado was.  The frame was professionally undercoated.  I feel that this expedited the rust on the frame as once water intrusion happened behind the undercoating, it was trapped between the frame and undercoating.  I am no expert on this procedure but be wary of undercoating ANY truck frame in areas where road salt is used.  Do your research and look into Fluid Film or similar (lanolin?) type of coatings that need to be applied yearly.  Much success with these processes from what I have read.

Fortunately I live in the South where frame rust is much less of an issue...12 months in, and my frame looks brand new still.  My 2000 Silverado has no frame or rocker rust issues...and the brake lines look brand new.
