Daytime Running Light in WT, custom, and custom TB

A quick stupid question. Do the low beam bulbs in WT, custom, and custom TB also work for DRL (daytime running light)? If yes, do they have a shorter life span than others because technically they are on all the time, days and nights? Is brightness different when being used for DRL during daytime and low beam at night? I have had this question since installing LED low/high beam bulbs from OEM halogen. "where is DRL bulbs?" Just curious. Thanks.
