Agreed on the optimistic part by car magazines but it gives us general consumers an idea. I am very eager to get my S&B CAI on and see the performance it makes with the Corsa Exhaust. I know it’s not huge numbers by any means but if it’s like my 18. You can tell a difference when both were on it compared to stock.

My Roto-Fab shaved around 2 tenths off 60. It’s a measurable difference however not necessarily a noticeable difference. I was in the 5.7 second range with the stock intake (but with the catback).

Never had a chance to baseline it totally stock but I would guesstimate it being 5.8-5.9. Motor Trend’s 19 6.2 HC took 6 seconds if I recall correctly. Their numbers seem to be more “real world” I guess,

You can’t deny the sound of a great small block V8 though!!  My 6.2l with Corsa exhaust sounds amazing.   Guy next door has a corvette and even he is impressed on how ANGRY it sounds now when starting it up!

If that's what winds your watch.

?

Interesting idea that.

Ever hear the difference between a 750 flatty  (45 CID) and a (1802 cc) 110 CID Harley?

Cylinder volume!

I can deny a small block with a Mark IV L89 454.

OR

How about a Pratt and Whitney R-1340....sweeeeeet

Not everyone likes Def Leppard. Some like Paganini.

You like what you like but you 'shouldn't' deny others preferences either.

Doesn't mean you can't, doesn't mean you won't....just shouldn't.

It is for me. Now try winding someone else’s clock. Do you enjoy trying to get a rise out of people? Don’t you get enough attention from your wife and dog? TO ME you’re not funny, and that’s all that matters TO ME.  Have a great day!

Thanks for the reply. Appreciate it. Really nice numbers from your truck.  What app are you using for the 0-60 times?

Just making a point and the point was made.

What is dishonest (and pointless) is defining a motors usefulness by it sound.

A sound that in stock trim is nonexistent. The heater motor makes more NOISE.

Equally dishonest is a comparison to a leaf blower.

Dishonest conceptual jump?

I was second in that boat.

Right?

?

You guys really want to argue opinions?

Okay I will stipulate you HATE the sound and hate it so much you are willing spend large sums of $$$ to avoid it.

We good now?

So you don't HATE you just MOCK?

?

Mocktease or laugh at in a scornful or contemptuous manner

Scorn:  the feeling or belief that someone or something is worthless or despicable

Contempt: the feeling that a person or a thing is beneath consideration, worthless,

Gee there econometrics, how ever did I get the idea you hate this motor?

Perhaps it was your words.

?

So I was right.

Then from mockery to condescending.

Was that because of the foot in your mouth?

When held accountable for your words you react much differently that when holding others accountable for theirs, eh?

Really. I'm insecure because I held you accountable.

My God, I want some of what you put in your Cheerios every morning. Let me guess, E-85? ? But really though, you always have the perfect responses. Your banter and wealth of ungodly amounts of technical knowledge on the fly is something I look forward to daily now. Always gives me a good chuckle or an AH-HA moment. Or both. Okay, time to knock down that temporary pedestal.

Back on track. Not sure why anyone is knocking your motor (well, no pun intended, hope you don't have any engine knock ?). V6 option is available for a reason. Plenty of power, plenty of tow-ability, PLENTY of gas mileage, intended for anyone that DOESN'T NEED the V8 - keyword being NEED, if you don't NEED the V8 the V6 is a perfectly acceptable motor. Hell, our Rams with a V6 have plenty of tow-ability and PLENTY of gas mileage. Can't compare the Pentastar to GM's option since I've never driven a GM with a V6 but I'm sure it is comparable. My Charger I had was a V6 tuned and hitting low 11's, one time I got 10.8 in the 1/4 mile with 500 lbs of rock salt in my trunk. Pretty good for 292 HP, never dyno'd after so not sure what I was running with mods and tune so we'll just call it 300 HP even. No reason to get a V8 if you don't need a V8. I was getting 33mpg in a 4,000lb muscle car. Moot point but glad you're sticking to your guns.

i'm still trying to figure out whats up with that big plastic piece on the rear roof of the T1. is it for aerodynamics

Been wondering that myself. Not sure I like the way it looks. It bugs me for sure. Same goes with the angles of the rear passenger windows, that little uphill climb towards the back bugs me. I'm an engineer so I may be a different cut where anytime lines aren't straight bug me. ? Same icky feeling I get looking at the way the front windows are shaped on Ford trucks. Practical on the Fords? Maybe. Does it look good? Hell no. (Disclaimer: IMHO)

Yep. I restored and own a '71 CB750 which is on the cover of the Clymer SOHC Four Manual. Music to my ears! Sweet sound!

Yep. Own 2 Harleys. An 80 cu in. Evo and a 103 cu in. H.O. Music to my ears! Sweet sound!

My 2 stroke bikes? Music to my ears! Sweet sound!

A G.E. F110 in an F16? Music to my ears! Sweet sound!

A V8? Music to my ears! Sweet sound! Even a loping 40's flathead V8! Sweet!

All TOTALLY diffrent sounds but what sweet goose bump sounds ?.

A V6? Nauseous and terrible... Sounds like sh*t, always has, always will.  It's the nature of the beast. It is what it is... Yep, I'd spend the extra money just to not hear that godly awful sound ?.
