Well, I've had my truck for exactly one month now... and I've only had it stop on me one time at a stop light, then I turned it off manually. Most of the time for the first few weeks I remembered to disable it when I started the truck, but recently I've stopped doing that and have noticed that it is not turning the truck off at all. I dunno what the timer is, but honestly it's so rare that mine stops I don't even mess with the button.

I don't mind it but I noticed that the starter will kick in prematurely at times before coming to a complete stop. It make a screechy loud noise.. And sometimes, there's this kicking from the rear end also that will happen just before a complete stop, not sure if that is associated though.

Me.

Hmm never had that happen or heard of the starter kicking in before a complete stop

Something you need to keep in mind:  the manufacturers do not care one bit if you dislike the auto start/stop feature.  They have to have it to meet the draconian CAFE (Corporate Average Fuel Economy) regulations.  And the time is fast approaching when you will not be able to modify any of the factory programming.  We have already seen the EPA cracking down big time on Bully Dog, Banks, and others on the diesel side.

Installed the auto stop kit last week. Seem to me totally changed the truck no more bullshit shut off at stops and forgetting to turn the dam thing off. Very easy install could not worked out better.

I don’t get it. You can just push the button to shut it off. We adjust our radio, gps, ac with a button. But OMG people cannot be bothered to push a button to shut off the auto shut off technology???‍♂️

President Trump can't just "get rid of them", but he did lessen the numbers imposed by Obama as much as he could.  So essentially The Donald lowered the numbers from impossible-to-meet to just too-damned-strict in a country where we are now exporting energy.  And of course a number of the more tree-hugging manufacturers and states immediately met and said they were sticking with their messiah Obama's targets anyway, with the goal of mandating all-electric vehicles soon.

All of the Greta's in the world need to stop and think that the massive amounts of electricity for their utopian electric vehicle world has to come from somewhere.  And they don't want nuclear power, natural gas, oil, or coal.  For example, Germany did a huge push on solar and wind energy.  All it did was result in energy shortages and much higher electrical rates.

I installed the auto stop eliminator after the truck turned off and then didnt restart until I put it in park and started it myself.

Besides that, it’s a government mandated item, so I automatically don’t like it.  Haha

I wish there was a setting or option within the truck that would allow you to select whether it is permanently "on" or "off" when you start the truck.  I press that button so much I have a feeling that it will look like a 15 year old button in less than a year.

Nothing quite like knowing every time you start your truck you have to deactivate an option you never wanted to begin with.  If only GM could hear my sigh every time I reached down to hit that dang button.
