Goodyear: Fortitude HT vs Trailrunner AT

Recommended Posts

sorry for the multiple tire posts.  I was planning on getting new wheels and tires but ended up getting a new truck.  Old truck had the Fortitude HT tires and new truck has the trailrunner AT.  Did I upgrade or downgrade in tire?  Or are they about the same?  Couldn't find a lot of into on the differences.

Trailrunner is a great tire. I would say you did better. it has a good ride, quiet, and has an aggressive look. I really like them, and if I still have the truck when it is time to replace the tires, will probably put them back on it. They seem to be wearing really good. I think I will be able to get over 50k miles out of them easy.

I would agree with your assessment @winks79 and these were my thoughts on them in the other active tire thread:

Fortitude is more of an on-pavement tire. Depends how much you're on road versus off road and if off road, what kind.

Pretty much only pavement but like the idea of a more aggressive AT.  New tires will probably more than suit my needs for any "off road" driving I'll do.  Mostly when I visit my folks in the small town where I grew up.
