Great... Just saw this after picking mine up from getting the rear window seals fixed.

Would of just left it there..

The hazards: NHTSA says that if the diffuser component separates from the inflator during airbag deployment, the performance of the RRAB may be degraded, increasing the risk of injury in the event a crash.

Affected vehicles:

2020 Buick Enclave
2020 Cadillac XT5
2020 Cadillac XT6
2020 Chevrolet Blazer
2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
2020 Chevrolet Silverado 2500
2020 Chevrolet Silverado 3500
2020 Chevrolet Traverse
2020 GMC Acadia
2020 GMC Sierra 1500
2020 GMC Sierra 2500
2020 GMC Sierra 3500
Affected parts: Roof-Rail Air Bag (RRAB) diffuser, airbag inflator.

Number of affected vehicles: 769

With that many vehicles involved, I'm surprised it's not more than 769 units.

They build a lot more than that in a day.

Rather specific number. And still will check to make sure if affected. I'm sure it boils down to cost but seems like they would of recalled the entire MYs just to be safe. But guess they are pretty sure of which ones.

We've been through airbag recalls on the last three cars (Honda & Subaru) we've owned due to Takata issues.

Don't know what GM uses, but not shocked by this one.
Almost everybody uses Takata

769 Recalled units across 12-models of vehicles?........in Silverado 1500's alone, that's only 2-days of builds.

I surely wouldn’t sweat it at this point.

I received a airbag recall notice from GM for my 2011 Silverado and GM has refused to provide the parts to fix the problem. I decided to sell the truck with the passenger airbag deactivated and to buy a new truck. The new truck will not be one from GM.
