Thanks to this forum with putting the idea in my head :) Just sold my 19 Silverado RST to Carvanna with convenience II package, 4wd, 5.3 for $44,942.00. Had 12,300 miles, bought last year for $43,000, MSRP was $53 and some change.  Really easy transaction too, just meet at Carvanna store in OKC, 10 mins later, I had my check. Still in shock I was paid that much, bought a 2020 GMC AT4 with 6.2 today!

Maybe it is a FL vs OK thing, but not sure why carvana would offer more for a RST than the LTZ.

Yeah me neither, I spoke to the guy at Carvanna after the deal was made and he said the used car shortage was mainly due to most auction houses are closed or had been closed. That made sense, a lot of used cars move through auctions.

I just ran it again for giggles and got this.

Just got my quote from Carvanna.  I have a 19 LTZ with 6.2 and they came back at $46,004.  It's the highest I've seen, but only a couple hundred dollars more than LT's with 5.3 are getting

I bought mine 14 months ago for around $49k so I shouldn't complain.

Always says I have stumped their algorithm and they will contact me. It hasn't happened yet.

If you fill out the vehicle info without listing any additional options, you'll get a #.  Then go back and edit the options and in a day or two you should get an accurate #.  That's how it worked for me anyway...

Carvana offered me 37,000 for my 2019 custom TB w/ 8,000 miles. I paid 37,500 otd in may 2019. Carmax offered me 38,000.

Problem is....where i bought my truck won't sell the same one for less than 40,000 before tax now.

exactly...you have to pay more for new one as well......no more 12k off 1500 models

now if you can sell and wait it out a bit maybe might bear some fruit

Shop around! There are some deals out there. Got 17% off MSRP at Everrett GMC in Conway, Arkansas. They were in-line, price wise with Laura Buick GMC. I ended up getting exact same deal locally at Bob Howard GMC in OKC.

2020 GMC AT4, crew, 6.2lt, loaded up

Discount included $500 off for military

I re-ran my vehicle today and Carvana offered me 43,200 for my custom TB crew cab. Hate to say this but I'm going to let them have it for that. Hard to wrap my head around dealers paying that much!

Inventory levels will eventually catch up and discounts will return to normal. I'll take advantage of making a few grand and having driven a nice truck for free. Fortunate to have a second vehicle for the time being.

Is this seriously legit? The MSRP on my truck was 46-47k and they offered me 41k...... Even Chevy's minimum discount is 5k without any dealer discount considered so someone could buy a new one of my trucks for 41k or less. I don't get it. Even Givemethevin's offer of 37-38k seemed crazy but it was more believable.

Like here is a new truck similar to mine with 10k off and a selling price of 38k   https://www.holidaychevy.net/VehicleDetails/new-2020-Chevrolet-Silverado_1500-Crew_Cab_Short_Box_2_Wheel_Drive_RST-Whitesboro-TX/4605070803

Edit: Well the local Toyota dealer offered 38k for trade / purchase value. I guess this stuff is legit, just doesn't make any sense.... PEOPLE CAN GO BUY THIS TRUCK FOR LESS THAN PLACES ARE WILLING TO GIVE ME IN TRADE!!????? Why??????

Yeah it’s nuts, my local Dealer said the same thing. I asked if he could match Carvannas offer and he showed me a new RST within 500 bucks of Carvanna offer on my used 2019 with 12,300 miles!

but I agree, these high offers won’t last
