Front/Rear Bumper Vinyl Wrap

I came out of Home Depot one day, walked up to my truck pressing the unlock on the remote and the lights wouldnt flash. kept trying, pulled on the door handle on passenger side rear to put stuff I had in there but wouldn't unlock. Then I head a voice from over my shoulder: "that's mine, you may wanna try the one on the other side, I bet its yours". duh

Funny!  In the early 60's my  father drove off in someone else's new 1961 Chev Bel Air.  It was identical to his.  He realized the error when my mom couldn't find a personal item in the glove box!

Any luck finding a front bumper solution? I have a 2016 Sierra and it's the same front bumper as your 2018. Bumpershellz only has the 2014-2015 Sierra front bumpers. I've got a factory painted front bumper, but it's chipped like a mofo. Looking to cover it up.

Hey man, unfortunately I haven't. I have been searching for weeks and it seems like the only option so far for our year models is to find a vinyl that is "close" to the color of your truck and get it wrapped. Cheapest anyway. Could always fork over a grand and get it painted but I am not that interested in wasting money like that lol.

Just spoke with the owner of Ecological about their 2016-2018 Front Bumpershellz. Basically,  they stated it has been in work and they can't give me a time frame of when they will be available for purchase. The 14-15 front bumpershellz took about 2 and a half years for production so I wouldn't hold your breath if you are looking at doing something in the near future. If I hear anything else I will let everyone know!

Appreciate the update. This is the closest I could find to covering most of the bumper, but it's still not 100% coverage. And while the picture looks cool, I can't find a single pic of it actually being used. I'm afraid it might look like a cheap wal-mart auto section stick on mod. Plus at their price point, plus shipping, I might as well get the front bumper repainted and add a clear bra. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Fits-16-18-Sierra-1500-Air-Design-Front-Bumper-Guard-w-DRL-Lights-Black-GM28A04/203034867713?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3D0e27f2a99cec43baaff166815f2d9f83%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D15%26mehot%3Dnone%26sd%3D283940383278%26itm%3D203034867713%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2380057%26brand%3DAir+Design&_trksid=p2380057.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3A35ad5062-d0ff-11ea-a15e-528baece0500|parentrq%3A96a8cf631730a4d6adaa2c1cffe4cc58|iid%3A1

Tyler,
That looks good man. What did it cost you to get it powder coated? Also did you have to remove the bumper? Thanks for sharing man!

150 plus the cost of powder. (27 bucks for 2lbs from prismatic) I still have more than a pound left over. Yes I did remove the bumper. It’s an easy job, I can have one off in about 10 minutes.

No joke. Looks like I'll be figuring out how to remove said bumper and finding a powder coating place. Thanks man!

So the shop near me also does the Prismatic Powder. They have Dirty White. in your pictures it looks really close. Would you go with that color again or pick another? How did you know to go with that specific white? There's a lot to choose from lol

FYI - I've removed the bumper on my 2016 Sierra and it's a little more involved than the Silverado bumpers. The Sierra's have a trim piece between the bumper and grille that has to be removed first. There are tabs that have to be released from behind the trim piece. I used a long flat head screwdriver to go up behind the trim and release each tab. You also have to loosen the wheel well liners (front portion only) in order to remove screws from each side of the trim piece. Once the trim piece is off you then have access to the bumper bolts. Not terrible, but tedious. Everything else is fairly easy after that, all bolts and screws. The trim piece is MUCH easier going back in, the tabs just lock in place when you push the trim piece in.

I believe it's the closest match you're gonna get. If you go on prismatics website they have a tool to match colors and see what other people have used and tagged that color as a match with. Typed in summit white, that was the match lol. Most people who see it in person think it’s paint, the gloss level is also close to factory paint as well.

Well it only took a year! Love the look. Went with the Dirty White Prismatic Powder. $200 per bumper. Also did the Rigid Industries bumper lights in the steps in the rear bumper. Love it all!

Color match looks great!

Thanks man! Some people like the chrome, some people don't. I'm a fan of the color match. Matched very well. Was a pain to remove the bumpers, but in all not as difficult as I expected.

Looks good. I would love to get my bumpers and grill power coated but the oven would melt this grill....
