2016 Chevy High Country

Recommended Posts

I can say that I am not impressed with my recent purchase. While the truck looks good in my driveway, it has not left a favorable impression on me as a newer Chevy truck owner. I have not had it 1 month and it has been in out of the repair shop multiple times. The first time the check engine light came on and the battery was replaced, the second time I took it back to the dealership I purchased it from and they kept it almost 2 weeks to mimic what I stated during my visit. An ECM was replaced on the the vehicle. 1 road trip to Mississippi and the check engine light came back on and I had no power or ability to go above 45 mph on the highway. Good thing I was not run over by the semi behind me while I attempted to pull over. Lord only knows what will come about during this repair visit in Batesville Ms. Disappointed with no truck in Louisiana.

2nd that. sorry for you bad experience.

Just curious. How many miles? 6 or 8 speed? 5.3l or 6.2l? Is it a certified used truck?

When I purchased my '16 in February I had the same issue at 46k miles.  The dealership replaced the battery cables and no light since.  I thought it was BS at the time but hard to argue with now.

I have heard/watched video's where some Chevy Silverado's have had ground issues in the past. Not sure why, whether  it's from the environment  they were in (salt country) or other issues but it's good to at least remove it from the list of possibilities.
