Spare tire while running 35s what did you do?

Recommended Posts

I am going to be putting 35s on 20x10 rims on my truck this friday. I am weighing my options for spare tires.

From what i understand stock spare rim is 17x8. Is there any 34 or 35" tire sizes out there thatll fit a 8" rim?

My other option which i did with my old truck was to pick up a cheap same sized rim/ tire used off ebay or Craigslist and use that.

I travel a lot for work and being that the stock tire size is 3" different cant just limp it gotta have the spare.

Thoughts?

The width of the tires have nothing to do with it. it is only the outer diameter that matters.

You should be fine but if you have the ability try to put the spare on the front try to do that.  It will be fine on the rear, with that large of a difference i would probably run 55 or under IMHO.
