Driveline Vibration At Speed

Recommended Posts

Just got back from hauling the sleds up north for the winter, and on my way up, we stopped for lunch. After lunch, got back on the road and got up to speed.

I felt a slight vibration that would last for 3 or so seconds, then fade away for 3 or 4 seconds, then come back.

I pulled over immediately, figuring something with the trailer or tires was screwed up (snow in the tires or something).

I couldn't find anything amiss, so I kept going and it stopped.

Dumped the sleds off and getting back up to speed with an unloaded trailer, it did it again, only it came back and stayed vibrating the whole way home.

I'm pretty sure its not the trailer (Triton XT aluminum), because when I let off the gas going 60mph, the vibration stops. As soon as I get back on the gas, it comes back....

I tried shifting into 3rd to see if its gear specific and it was still there.

I've seen a few postings out here, but nothing close to what I'm experiencing.

I just had the tranny fluid, transfer case, and diffs fluids changed, and a U-Joint replaced about 3000 miles ago, not even.

The last I checked, my Tranny fluid level was fine, so its not low.....

Any ideas?
