Low used truck inventory now

Is it just me in WNC or have others noticed a reduced inventory of late model used K2 trucks? I bought my 2017 Silverado back in late Feb. just before the COVID19 stuff went to major news. At that time my local dealers seemed to have at least 10+ late model used truck and only about 25% of those were Certified used trucks. Now there isn't hardly any late model used ones and the $$ have seemed to go up 2 to 4K. Is it just here in truck country or is this across the country?

I've been looking for a used vehicle for my son who just got his license. It seems all inventory is low and prices are getting stupid. More and more dealers are also refusing to budge on the advertised prices as well.

On the other hand, it's probably a great time to sell a used car if you need to get rid of one or trade up.

I have a feeling prices are going to crash and crash hard. Governors are going to shut states down again and make it last through the election. Economy will nosedive. Just listen to 24-7 news coverage about COVID. Just sit tight if in the market to buy a used car if you can. IMO it’s all BS. Just my .02

The auctions were closed for several months and with new sales being off almost 50%, you have fewer trade ins to work with. So, no, its not just you. Inventories are lower and prices are going to go up for a little while.

I wish I could wait, but needs a car soon. He will be attending a soccer camp later this summer and then he will need to get himself to school this fall. After soccer he will also be getting a part time job. It's high time he start learning about real life. I may have actually found a decent vehicle at a not ridiculous price. Going to see it tomorrow.
