Hello All,

This morning i remote started my truck and came out to find a CEL(Check Engine Light) on.

Ran back inside and grabbed the code reader to find;

C0100

C0101

C0146

I called my local dealer and asked them to check what this might mean on the truck and they stated that its part of an updated recall for the brake system.

Can anyone verify this?

thanks,

I never had an issue, but some have had a cel come on when using the remote start function, a recall was issued on it.

I can't help you with the codes you received.

Same thing happened again,

C0146 : left TCS solenoid #2 circuit malfunction.

If i cycle the ignition 4 -5 times it will go away, i tried to clear the codes after only 1 ignition cycle and the code instantly came back on.

bump.

Both times this has happened the E-Brake was not on and i was pushing the truck back an forth while loading. the e-brake would set itself and the light would be on witht the code, i tried to recreate this twice and the e brake did set itself but no codes were present.

I think you need to have the codes pulled with something that can read them better.  C0146 doesn't even come up in the GM Service Manual.

I had a really cheap code reader at the time (keep one in the cars/trucks at all times just in case). when i was trying to recreate the CEL i had my Autel MP808 ready.

Happened twice last week and also this morning.

I have added an extra ground wire to the frame (on Saturday) and to the engine block. I think its time to take it in to the dealer.

It seems to happen when i remote start using the keys, i have not confirmed this.

codes this morning;

C0100

C0101

C0146

C0129

all pending and all history
