Gear select won’t go down into 1

Hey guys new to the forum, after alot of searching I can’t really seem to find what I’m looking for. So I’m having trouble with gear select in my 06 2500hd, everything clicks into place normally PRND32 but it won’t go down into 1 and it seems like the lever  goes down as far as it will go. Has anyone have this issue, I don’t even know where to begin looking to try and fix it... I have a video but it won’t let me upload it
