2020 Sierra 3500HD DIC

Recommended Posts

I have a 2020 GMC Sierra 3500HD with Roughly 1100 Miles on it. After starting the truck late this afternoon it prompted me to go through a Exhaust Filter Cleaning. Once I got home I put it in Park and proceeded to follow the on screen promos on the Cluster, it went through, cleansed itself and all is well. HOWEVER.....

I no longer have the option to view the Digital Speedo, Trip Meters, EST Fuel Mileage Etc...

I know for a fact this all worked just prior to doing the Cleaning as I had just filled the Truck up with Diesel and reset the Trip Gauges.

I’ve tried turning the truck off, opening the door and locking it, running it up the highway, the 2nd key, went through the infotainment system to see if there was something in there to change but to no avail.

The only thing I can see right now is:

Units

Oil

Air Filter

Brake Pads

Tire Pressure

Fuel Filter

Engine Hours

Trans Temp

Trailer Brake
Def

And the Giant Checkmark telling me my Exhaust Filter is Clean.

any help or a hey stupid, this is what you gotta do is appreciated!

Leave your truck in park and navigate to the options menu in your settings. There you can add or delete what shows up when you toggle through. See if it is somehow unchecked now.

So I’ll try this^^

A little update, the truck now has about 1800 Miles on it and has now gone through 3 Manual Regens. This seems extremely high to me. I ran a 2015 Sierra 2500HD and never had to run a manual regen nor did it regen in such close cycles.

In all 3 cycles, the same issue has happened. I called GMC and the Service guy has no idea why this would be happening and wants me to come In And get it looked at.

The only thing to cure this has been to disconnect both Negatives on the batteries to reset the ECM, which is not practical.
