Are katzkin seats more comfortable than the factory cloth? I just feel like I have to sit perfectly centered to be comfortable. I think it's the rear bolsters that interfere with my personal comfort. Maybe they will soften up as my truck only has 2k miles on it. Just thought I'd ask the board for some opinions.

I had roadwire sear covers put in as part of the deal when I bought my 2019 LT Z71 Texas Edition.  I am 6'2" 250 pounds and the seat is somewhat uncomfortable.  Drove from Texas to Florida in it last summer and it seems the passenger seat felt more comfortable to me.  Not sure why though.  My driver seat is the 10 way electric one, the passenger is the more basic manual seat.

I love the way the seat covers look though.  Look factory to me.  I do notice I always lean to the right with 1 arm on the console for some reason.

Have the katzkin installed not long after  I got the truck. The factory cloth is nice. Just like the easy maintenance of the leather. The heated seats don't feel as warm with the leather unless you put it on high. Cloth felt nice on low

Cant comment on katzkin, but I have factory leather seats in mine and they are not comfortable and sadly havent improved over the 21k miles I've put on it.

The seats are just super firm and the bolsters are a problem for me too. I wouldn't expect the katzkin covers to help too much.

Yeah seems pretty much the same as myroadwire. I love the look of the leather and how easy it is to clean, as I have two little ones in the back.  But the seat is a bit hard on the bum.  I think maybe the bottoms are a little too flat and don't really hold on to you well. Doesn't really bother me that much though.  Like I said drove it from San Antonio to Pensicola in one sitting and would do it again.  Still the best ride I've owned lol.

I drive upwards of 200 miles a day and they are driving me crazy. I agree its partially the shape, but man the foam they used is very firm and like the OP said, the bolsters are really irritating although that might just depend on the person sitting if they are an issue, but I've had a hard time finding a way to sit that doesn't make my toes start going numb after 20-30 minutes.

The other issue I have is that if i sit a certain way i can feel the corner or edge of one of the mechanisms in the seat, not sure if it is the vibrating piece for the warning system or for the heating or ventilation, but it digs into me if I'm not sitting centered on the seat.

I only drive about 20 miles a day, and honestly pretty much 0 lately.  I will be putting at least 600 miles on my truck this weekend though for a small trip.  Is yours the 10 way power adjustable seat?  If so have tried lowering the front portion of the seat?  I noticed if the front of the seat isn't flat or what not that it cuts into my legs.  I don't ever feel any mechanism in my seat.  I don't have the vibration warning system thingy though, just the heated seats. I'll see if I feel anything different on my road trip this weekend.

Get a neoprene yoga mat to sacrifice. Cut out a section to match the seat panel, not including the bolsters. It should negate some of the wefgjn effect of the bolsters, aside from being cushy. Sit on it awhile. If it seems to help, try pulling up the seat cover and slip it underneath permanently. Thinking about trying this when I order some covers soon.

I have the seat bottom covers from motor trend I believe. Pretty comfy and still allows heat through very well surprisingly. My kids and wife are accident prone to say the least. Full set rear and two captain chairs for 50$

Yeah I ended up lowering the front all of the way, kind of sucks since there is no thigh support, but takes longer for my toes to go numb.

I've seen a few complaints about the mechanism in the seat, but not a lot, so may be a rarer issue, it sucks though.

I have Katzkins in my truck right from new. They seem to fit very nice and look like they came from factory. As far as comfort comparison its hard to tell. Haven't had any seat time in the cloth seat, but its really just a texture change. I find the seats to be fairly firm.

Do you happen to put your wallet in your back pocket? I’ve been noticing I lean to the right and also have my arm on the console. I’ve been trying to take my wallet out as I’ve noticed on long road trips my back will start to get tight, from which I believe is from keeping my wallet in my back left pocket.

No, I switched over to carrying my wallet in my front pocket like 5+ years ago.  As I started to carry more things in it I quickly realized sitting on it was really uncomfortable. Not sure why I lean to the right to be honest.  I think it's because I'm a taller/bigger person than average and I don't really "fit" without my arm spilling into the console area lol.  If I try not to rest my arm on the console I end up feeling constricted, like my arm/elbow naturally wants to hit the outer edge of the console.

Put in 4.5 hours of driving time yesterday and you know the pad on bottom seemed decent enough.  What really bothered me is my back, but I pretty much always have back pain and have trouble with getting comfortable in pretty much any seat lol.  I do have scoliosis now that I think about it.  Maybe that explains some of the lean.  Lol
