new truck

Well after a 3 week ordeal I finally took delivery on my 04 sierra 2500 LD ext cab ( which was rare but now extinct since they stopped taking orders 10/10) Friday night 10/31

Its got:

-SLT decor

-XM ( love the XM)

-camper mirrors

-Denali door handles

-Gm paintable running boards

-GM molded mud flaps

This weekend I'll put in the amber DRL's...One final note: My newest vehicle was my dad's 94 silverado and this 04 seems like it's 50 years more advanced I honestly don't know what they can add in creature comfort or performance wise to make them better. Much impressed

Thats why I hate getting out of the Tahoe or Duramax and getting into the 94, but vise versa I don't mind. There sure is a HUGE difference.

thanks for the compliment. Yes they did stop producing the LD, sort of. The 04 model was available in crew and ext. similar to 03 except the crew was badged a 1500HD in 03. Well as of the middle of Oct. they stopped taking orders on 2500 LD ext cabs, but you can still get the 2500 (1500HD) in a crew cab, and will continue into the future. it's my personal opinion that they will completely phase out all ext cabs and go to crews for all models, there's only 10" more in wheel base on a crew so its basically whether on not you want suicide doors or regular.
