The truck has developed a new grumbling/gringing noise and feel in the wheel at low speed (less than 10mph) turning from center, in the last couple days. Had the rotors turned last week at the stealer (tho it was freee). I turned my torsion bars up an inch or so 2 weeks ago. Is it #1 wheel bearings? #2 steering rack going away..most noticable coming off center at low speed ( low pump boost ). Take your best guess guys...or come forward with your experience with this? Thanks... :sigh:

Never get your rotors turned *( They just ruin them )* IMO , I've never heard of anyone getting more than six months out of turned rotors before they develeop a warp in them. As for the noise I would try turning the wheels when not moving. Why did you have your torsion bars cranked up anyways, just for a lift or to fix something

They would only turn them under warranty. I am a former machinist, they showed me the rotors condition, and after machining measurements. Didn't have to take much off at all to clean them up. The padal feel and braking is good. Night and day what it was. I turned the torsion bars are up for my new Fisher plow, they are not cranked all the way, it was sagging pretty good stock hieght w/plow on & up. Yes, the truck does have plow prep. I never get one without. I gotta check PS fluid and turn the wheel cold, tomorrow A.M.

UPDATE...stealer cannot find the cause of the ginding/groan felt up thru the steering column and even in the gas pedal. Truck has been left overnight...I have been told it's fixed twice...haven't got out of the lot before going back in and getting the tech and illustrating it IS NOT FIXED. This effect is getting worse over the short 150 mile time frame it has existed and is more pronounced at lower ambient temps. The TSB's in reference to the column have been done...NO DIFFERENCE AT ALL. What the hell is going on any ideas? I think it's the steering box because of the feel and the fact that it can also be felt in the floor/pedals (because the box is mounted to the frame the effect would be transfered into the chassis (floor/firewall). Though it can't be reproduced standing still! This is at low speed rolling only! HELP...HELP...HELP!! It is very annoying and I fear unsafe somehow plus I need to get to the bottom of this before I need the truck to plow...very soon...
