Computer acting screwy

Recommended Posts

So today hopped in my truck to head to the liqour store.  ABout 500 feet after starting all my gauges went dead and started popping up all warnings.  I was able to backup under minimal power into driveway.  Truck shut off but didn't recognize it was in park.  Tried restarting a couple times, no change.  Hopped out and was able to remote start and it and the gauges and infotainment were as if i was in the truck and started with the start button.  Drove about a mile and everything went screwy and had to drive home under limited power.  Took my wife's car to the store, and about 20 minutes later the truck was back to acting normal.  In the midst of all this the check engine light came on and stayed on.  Has anyone seen this?

I have an appointment at the dealer tomorrow morning, but was curious to see if this affected anyone else.

I somehow kicked the online speed calibrator ever so loose. Half the plug was out maybe 1/8-1/4 inch. (Or maybe it was my 3yo playing in the cab grabbing everything and then some)
Yup feel so dumb.
Apparently I’m not the first one it has happened to. The dealer had a whole packet from Chevy on it being a known issue and How to properly secure aftermarket inline plug-ins.
Need to get a OBD tool to clear codes if it happens again.
