Skyjacker 3.5" Control Arm lift thoughts?

Recommended Posts

Just got back from the dealer to have the vacuum pump replaced on my 2014 Silverado under the extended warranty.  They recommended changing the front left upper control arm as the ball joint is leaking grease and the tires are wearing. They want $650 just to do one side so I told them no thanks as this is something I can do myself.  My truck has the Z85 package and aluminum control arms and steering knuckles.  I'm having trouble finding replacement aluminum control arms (aside from Dorman, but I'm worried about the quality).  I've wanted to do a small lift for a while, so I started looking into control arm lifts since I need to replace them anyway.  I'm wondering if anyone has installed the Skyjacker 3.5-4" control arm lift kit C14350PAM.  It comes with new arms, diff spacers, new rear shocks and blocks.  I'm not too worried about the CV angles as the extent of my off-roading is limited to dirt roads.  I don't really want to go bigger than 4", and I would prefer not to do any cutting if I can avoid it.  I'm already running 275/70/18 tires on the stock wheels at stock height, I probably won't go any bigger than that.  Should I go this route or just do the control arms and save up for a better lift down the road?

Edit: No responses, so I'm guessing this isn't a popular lift.  It was 20% off through a popular site and I'm a sucker for a sale so I took the plunge.  I will be sure to take some pictures and post the results once it arrives.
