Put Cooled Seat in a Trailboss?

Does anyone know why Ventilated Seats are not available in a Trailboss? Is the wire harness the same as a truck equipped with cooled seats? If I can find a clean one from a Salvage yard I'd like to install it.

Thoughts?

Not available because the Trail Boss is an LT trim truck.  They aren't available on the LT.  Not sure if they are even available on the RST.  LTZ and High Country for sure.  Only two options I really wanted and couldn't get:  Cooled seats and power folding tow mirrors (mine are manual fold).

Good luck locating a totaled 2019-2020 LTZ or HC.

I do not believe they're available on the RST either. I bought a pretty high spec'd out model and when I inquired about cooled seats they were an option to even special order at the time. (Disclaimer May have changed for 2020)

To sell you an AT4.

Actual cooled seats went away for the 2016 MY. They are vented seats now. Available LTZ/SLT and up.

I would not buy $1000 worth of seats and expect it to plug and play. The BCM probably has some involvement in their operation since they are programmable with remote start.

Leather option in RST includes only the non perforated heated 10 way seats. Ventilated seats available only in the top line models......a gimmick, no cooling it just blows air from under the seat.......came standard in my Traverse and don't even have the power to flutter a tissue placed on the seat or blow back a fart.

Naw, no gimmick. They are pretty damn nice in my Silverado. Granted, if the truck has been sitting in the sun all day, they can only do so much, but it’s still noticeable. And they make huge impact on sticky muggy nights when the sun isn’t a factor.

True, I can see that. I'm not a huge fan of leather for that reason and becuase I have to big ole dogs that can risk tearing it.

Yeah, I would generally prefer cloth for most uses, but the cloth seats in my 2016 aged like milk. The driver’s seat looked like a worn out couch after 25k. The 19s seem to have a better material from what I’ve seen. But so far my leather is holding up good too with no dogs and only the occasional messy kid.

There is a clean black pair available salvaged in Ohio. I'm currently located in Texas so I bet some will pop up soon. I do a ton of mountain biking and I didn't think I would miss ventilated seats this much. They're a miracle after riding 10+ miles in 80+ heat.

I'm going to keep looking for at least the driver seat locally. Even if I have to wire it through a switch.

Just got pricing from Katzkin for my sierra. For front two seats perforated leather: 1595.  To add ventilation was another 1495 WOW that is expensive. Is that the pricing others have seen?

All four seats just leather was 1895. Still 1495 to add ventilation on front.

She was claiming this was installed price.
