Got my truck today`

Recommended Posts

Got my truck today. Been contemplating it, and as I saw many I was keeping an eye on just get sold, I finally went for this one. Only color they had in LT. This color just seems to find me. I had a bad experience in Finance when I signed, overall the guy just kept pushing to increase my payment for dumb reasons. Finally I walked out and I was invited back in with the agreed payment on the contract. For the first time I just feel, after the fact, I should have probably taken my business else where.

Anyway, love the truck. Hope I can add some steps and bed liner pretty soon. IMG_6677.thumb.jpg.58632f6200cad1497879fc1d42ad7123.jpgIMG_6676.thumb.jpg.db3621cea5a6e2a9e3e859d9ca2165d8.jpg

Looks nice. Got mine yesterday as well. Posted a pic in the picture thread. Similar experience with pushing the extras. After the spiel, you get the question, "which package do you want?"

Tire and wheel protection- Probably won't need protection when they get replaced with after market.

Disability insurance- already pay for it at work.

Etc....

me too....delivered last night

first time I did my own financing and never even stepped into a dealership, they dropped it off from san diego….pretty painless...

but finance guy did call me and of course tried to sell me warranty for $2500....I get it its his job, I politely said nah I am good bro, when he pressed I said I been doing this for 30 yrs, he said cool, I get it.....done deal

my armrest console doesn't open, the latch is stuck, and they owe me a key fob and manual.....so I have to take it to service to get it unstuck.....she is big girl.....thank god incentives didn't change today much, I didn't think they would

I am sure these things soften up bit overtime like my 1500 did and idk whats with 70lbs of air pressure....if I drop it to 50psi will TPMS start going off?

yes I need steps as well...I am 6ft tall but its still a jump to get in20200430_220600.jpg

bedliner, steps, and maybe some LED lights and I am done.....actually maybe some shocks, not to lift it but just better dampening...later on though....I almost bought a GMC just for LED lights and bedliner that comes with it but I couldn't get 2nd conv pkg without stepping over my budget...

congrats to both of you btw!

Went into the Pic thread, initially i couldn't find it. Still working on posting in it. Beautiful trucks, High Country was out of my budget. I do have to say, maybe not the case but sure feels like it, me being a Ford guy previously, i can say buying a ford was so much easier. I called dealers 500 miles around my area, and all seemed to not care for my LT money (lol). Finally found a dealer 200 miles from me with this one, and it got done. Almost ended up with a Ram Cummins. The GMC SLE i tried on before this purchase the sales guy just said its ok if you cant buy it. ?‍♂️ . Frankly prefer the  GMC flares but the Chevy Grill. So either way win win. These are some torqued trucks for sure. About to gooseneck a 10k lb load. Lets see how that goes. ?

I looked a RAM too and was considering it and could have got a bit more truck but I just didn't like look of body vs GM....Ford was out of question (great truck I am sure, as all are) I just wont buy one, whateves …..ignorant, stupid, I don't really care but it aint happening.....stupid childhood where everyone had chevys, and that was it

my neighbor across the street has 2500 ram diesel with god knows how many miles and still goin

they weren't crazy about trying to make one happen....we add 12% to get to OTD here so I guess anything under is decent....but yeah inventory is drying up though and HD trucks don't sell like corollas

I had tough time finding something in pkg range I wanted, they were 2 within 100 miles and 1 was 4WD and other 2WD....

wont have to worry about a truck for quite awhile.....2500 and 1500 don't share a thing in common cept for interior, totally different truck and driving experience......I will say for whatever reason I seem to be able to judge distance better on HD, my RST I had hard time, idk why....maybe hood shape but I couldn't get it down.....this truck in only a day I feel way more comfy parking, navigating, I have no idea.....it is what it is

Honestly, I wouldn't pull the trigger on the Ram cause of the 6 speed transmission. Not that it isn't good enough or that I have the experience to really tell the difference. But I do plan to tow a bit,  paver and skid steer, and you tube videos tell a lot of positive things on towing with a 10 speed trans.

I had a scare today where for a moment I though my truck would be a 2WD. I realized there is no decal for 4x4 on the outside and after Dad had drivent it, and couldn't find the 4x4 on the console, he was sure I had purchased it only thinking it was a 4x4. lol. IT is a 4x4 and I was relieved. Used to have a 2016 Ford F250 and let it go after it experienced death wobble. It became a real problem when hitting anything on the highway so I let it go for an F150. That's what I traded in for this Chevy 2500. Few days with it and I think its fantastic. I ordered some nfab steps. Looking forward to installing them.

I need steps as well....I was only looking for gas btw

have 500 miles on it now, letting air out of tires and it seems to have soften it up a bit.....doesn't like consectutive little stutter bumps but other than that I love the truck....every time I drive it I like it more and more

I did get 2wd...I really wanted 4x4 but hard to find in my configutation and really ive never used it in 20 yrs so.  it may bite me in ass at some point....hopefully not....but yeah I mulled it over for 2 days....

Drove 40 miles away from home today, then get a call there was  a lot of hail in my home area. I was driving home and had probably about 20 min to go. I held back and ran some errands. Still hot home and it was pouring. Our goose neck trailer was in the shed and our dually, the only truck that can move it, has been in the shop for weeks (yeah its a ford), so I had to try and get in through the back. I barely made it. No hail so far, but I'm safe for now.
