Can I get some advice on purchasing a Trail Boss

$9k off (now looks like $10k off) with 0% financing is a good deal - if you like the truck and are happy with the trade value you should buy it.  with 0% you lose the $6,000 gm customer cash, so the $9k is all coming from dealer dollars and any other gm rebates you can qualify for.  Also the 6.2 in a trail boss is hard to find, so they are not going to give that truck away, given nothing new being made right now.

There is always a better deal that someone got, but if you want the truck - I think what they offered is fairly reasonable and you can be driving your new TB today!  Really it all gets down to your trade, if that works, at $10k off I and 0% finaning I would buy it.

They are not offering the 0% financing with $9k off. If I go 0% they take away the $6k rebate.

So basically it’s $10k off with discount and rebates. I may bite.

Its either 0% finaning or the $6k in customer cash - GM won't give both - so the discount at $10k, with 0% financing from GM - for at 6.2 TB - looks pretty good, if you like your trade

Good luck!  I love my AT4 with 6.2 and 10 speed - that is a great motor, tranny combo!

Although I am a Chevy guy, (have had some GMC's) If I was going to buy right now I would have to go AT4. And that is because of options. The Trail Boss is like GM's poor cousin of the AT4. Why you can't get a TB with the same options only a GM brain could answer. Completely ridicules to me.

AT4 is based on the SLT trim hence the options matching an SLT.  Trail Boss is either a Cutsom or an LT and the optional equipment reflects the trim level they are based on.  If they wanted to (and could do rather easily) they could just do an LTZ Trail Boss and that would then mirror the AT4.

Yes! Some of the decisions GM makes really leaves you scratching your head. The other thing I would like to see is more grill options, like Ford has. I would also love the body colored grill of an RST in a Trail Boss or any model for that sake.

You can add the 2" lift to any model other than the LT after the fact, in essence making your own TB/AT4 with whichever look and features you want.

Yeah my wife is in healthcare as well. I would drive the new 2020 with the 5.3 10-speed if you haven’t already. The 6.2 is badass, but the 5.3 with that transmission and tuning is leaps and bounds better than the previous gen.

I purchased a 2020 Trail Boss in early March with the 5.3 10 speed. Prior to purchasing I drove an RST with the 6.2. Not a lot of difference in my opinion. The 10 speed tranny is awesome!  MSRP was $55920. Traded a 2013 Envoy with 53000 miles purchased new, excellent condition.  $41500 before TTR.

I think you did really well considering what I’ve seen other trailbosses listed for around my area. How does the Costco rebate work now? You have to be a member before a certain date right?

I ended up holding off on the Trail Boss for now. The deal was good. A little over $10k off. They were getting me with my trade in. Only $31.5k. My LTZ has 21k miles and not a speck a dirt inside it. I was going to lose the $7k I paid for it over the past year plus add $14k of debt. I just couldn’t justify it in my mind as my 17 is a nice truck.

I found I was losing some options and the ones I was gaining I could add to my LTZ. I really loved the 10 speed though.
I am planning rough country leveling struts for the front end, some new tires and maybe some wheels.

I wish they had.  The two options I really wanted but couldn't get on my LT TB are cooled seats and power folding tow mirrors (mine are manual fold).  First world probs - I know!

And around view monitors. Really helpful when you're on the trails trying to see over that big ass hood!
