Good interview with GM Senior Leadership

Recommended Posts

I for one are absolutely excited to hear the GM Full size Raptor fighter is in the works. " Raptors will be extinct" are fighting words!!!!!!!!

With the TRX around the corner , GM really needs a hardcore off -roader to compete.

Here is to best in class Travel with those DSSV shocks , front/rear lockers, 35s , a more aggressive look with wider fenders etc, even more under body protection,  and more power then the standard 6.2 . Dont just half ass it GM. Just stick the 6.2 Blown motor from the Z06 putting it @ 650HP . It does not need the 700hp+ the TRX will have but hardcore offroad chops.

It will sell. Even @ 80k people will buy it . Look how successful FORD has been with the RAPTOR . Having said that i dont see anything coming out until 2022 when GM does their model year refresh.

yeah I watched it yesterday as well.....a lot of beating around the bush but am sure they always do and probably (have to)…its been 10 yrs since raptor started and lowered trucks be all the rage again when GM just catches up with lifted truck phase....I am not a Ford fan but wtf has it taken so long.....raptor sales kill it every year so profit is there

however I think GM is killing it in HD market.....their trucks have best diesel, payload and towing look great and just a stellar job

the trailboss was only there to create profit not to be an offroad machine.....they can sell WT to people who don't really want a WT but will buy a custom TB....the " listening to our customers" comment they kept saying I really don't see that too much.....took away storage in armrest on lower trims, key start and dial for DIC...and then overcharge for cheap lift and set of tires..cmon, really

always liked GM trucks but just calling it how I see it....i do however like my T1 truck, and haven't had any problems so far

it does sound like they have legitimate off road model coming though…..it didn't take that long, lol

They talked about to much complexity in the plant with all there different powertrains why not make the 10 speed standard across the board keep it simple? It sounds like GM has Not been able to listen to there real customers because bailout they took linked below. But no more excuses big tires, lower gearing, larger fuel tank so you can pull your camper and 4 wheel all weekend... I hope the Raptor Killer comes true! If they have AEV working on it no doubt it will they made the bison awesome!

The gas tank still boggles the mind.  It sure what the reason was for going even smaller. I can understand going smaller but also offering bigger tank but IMO it’s stupid not offering dual tanks like ford and ram do.

I am not huge gas tank fanantic but even I think it should be bigger or at least offer it.....major reason I want to step out of a 1500 is payload for sure 100 % but gas tank being bigger will be nice and I don't travel too far (realize mpg will be less but still) and also auto start stop being eliminated....I hate having to shut it off everytime I get in.....also the safety pkg is std on all star edition in HD....

I like my truck just seems like they did stuff for profit not by listening to customers.....they even went out of their way to do so, but try getting a trade in value on ram or sell it in few years....

funny thing I was at RAM dealer today and bed seemed so small.....the length and depth seemed like half.....for me the bed is a huge thing....wasn't there to buy it was just on the way so I peeked in really quick.....I was shocked how small and shallow  the bed was....

chevy killed it with bed....such huge deal for most who work out of their trucks and even making HD standard beds bigger than 1500s was brilliant....smart move I think of course, lol
