At4-erado

Recommended Posts

Finally got my At4 rims installed today on my trailboss after the snow melted from last night. Measured just under 1/2 inch higher to the wheel wells from the 33 inch tires as expected. Also got the larger spare on eBay for $140. Definitely a much smoother and quieter ride than the duratracs. A little stiffer too. Finally got a 1/2 Ryobi impact driver. Man that was easier than firing up the compressor and getting a 100 ft hose out. What do you think of the look?6d1b606cdc02569eb12894935217f020.jpge65da19e93b27aa49e63dd54ee618949.jpgdd6ef8159c2bba73db3abd637ca69257.jpg

Lookin good!!! I like the stock TB rims too but the 20’s look like they fill the wheel well better.

Agreed. The new body style (and wheel wells) are so massive, they need at least a 20. 18s look too small.

How much did that throw off your speedo?
I was told gm only uses one calibration for 17 inch to 22 inch factory tires. Can't verify that though. So in theory my truck should be no different than any other Silverado with 20 in rims. In theory. In reality the circumference of the large 33 inch tires is about 2.8% larger. So at 50 mph the difference should be a little under 1.5 mph.

You can always check by using your GPS on your phone for correct speed.

Negative.  Gm uses up to a 33 inch tire on T1.  The calibration for the 20 and 22 inch is different than 17 and 18 inch.
