builderpaul
Looking at an 04 2500HD for work. I could care less about steering wheel radio controls but heard this gives acess to this information center. What information can you get from the information center? If I don't want the steering wheel controls is there another way to access it?
NoWake200
It gives you alot of info and control...it sets up all your personal settings such as auto light, auto lock & unlock, and ect. It also gives you good info about your trips...it breaks down total mileage, bussiness mileage, hours engine has been running, oil life in percent, GPA instant and average, it also gives you range until empty...that one I like I am sure I have missed a few but to say the least it is ALOT of info. Now as for a work truck you probable don't care about all that extra stuff....but the engine info I would think work truck or not that is some good stuff. Guardian
I have the 2003 3500 hd silverado (my wife finally let me get one) The steering wheel controls are awesome. You can access just about any feature from them. Odometer, hourmeter, personal trip, business trip, timer, mpg, fuel range, and a heck of a lot more. Definitely worth the bucks Rob Simmons
BlackSilver
The radio controls are a small part of it. Gives you access not only to additional DIC information, but personalization of other functions, trip computer, etc., etc. Do it.
conradv
I didn't think I'd use the radio controls on the steering wheel that much, but WOW are they cool! Ever time I drive a different vehicle I miss my steering wheel radio buttons...
