2020 1500 RST
Does not have opening back window. Big downside for me.

Anyone know if a dealer will install one?

TIA

I mean they could... The electric parts will make it expensive, probably $2-3k.
Why didn't you get one with it if it mattered that much to you.

I could have been more patient and waited to find the perfect one... and had I known this COVID thing was gonna wreck the industry like it did, it would have been easy to wait knowing the prices... but.... you know... its easy to paint the bullseye after you shoot the arrow lol

I can't believe these dealers have you guys believing deals are tied to particular trucks.

Yes some will have a small dealer discount, usually those have a less than desirable build. (Reg cab 4X4 4.3 with no cruise for instance) but it isn't more than about $1200.

Hope you got $15k off MSRP for something that wasn't how you liked. Always shop the truck you want NEVER the deal. Buy something you aren't happy with and in a year you will be trying to trade and rolling negative equity. Seen it over and over again. Never shop off of payment either. #RantEnd

Anyways ya I would go aftermarket manual slider sucks to have to stop to close it if it starts raining but it is what it is.

Sometimes deals are tied to specific trucks. GM sets specific targets for monthly sales by model, hence the hidden "holdback" cash for each truck will revert to the dealer for each sale in excess of the target. That's why better prices can be had toward the end of the month when a dealer knows that he will hit his sales target for the month.  But there is another bonus to large volume dealers offered in additional money that can be applied to one or two specific vehicles identified by the dealer for the following month, usually their slow movers....and once applied to a specific VIN cannot be moved or applied to another vehicle. Dealers sometimes offer them as new car specials, but usually won't identify them for obvious reasons, but sometimes you can spot them because they are overloaded with accessories for the particular model, have been sitting for a few months accumulation interest on dealer loans and low if any mileage from test rides because they have a high MSRP for the model. Hence, my $56.5K RST with 4 miles went for $42K flat, rollout including the State tax differential, while a similarly equipped one without the 22"s was selling for the same amount.

That’s a huge plus on this generation of trucks. A lot of the rear windows with the sliders are leaking (including mine) and having to be replaced. The aren’t a lot of cases of the solid windows leaking if at all.

I mean if it's what you were looking for that's perfect but I would never tell somebody hey save $5,000 by buying this truck that you're really not happy with just to save $5k.

If they really want you to buy a specific truck that you're not super happy with, that's fine take, them to the cleaners because you're doing them a favor at that point.

I once negotiated a 3500 limited ASIN (85k MSRP down to a written $51k.) Couldn't find the final grand so I walked. XD I wasn't spending over 50k and didn't want a dually.

My 2020 1500 RST does (electric). So I assume they can install one for you. May be pricey tho.
