Dust sealing multi-pro tailgate?

Recommended Posts

Truck bed is getting extremely dusty after putting on my Bakflip mx-4. On my old 2014 sierra, it was pretty easy to dust proof with weather stripping. With the multi-pro tailgate, there are twice as many gaps now for dust to come through. Anyone tried anything that has been somewhat effective?

I’ve got the MX4 on my 20 AT4. I didn’t use the front seal that came with the cover. Instead picked up an automotive grade rubber ribbed weatherstrip from Lowe’s. Took a few extra minutes to adjust the MX4 to where the power tail gate still operates. Mine stays pretty dry and dust free as is.

I did something similar. Added a  better seal at the front and added silicone sealant around all of the edges and it's water and dust tight now.
