I took this part to the dealership after I bought it on eBay and had it installed. Only to find out that there is no harness from the steering wheel to the radio. I left it installed because it looks better than that blank plate.

 

The dealership said that they do not sell this part. Is this true?

The buttons you bought control the cluster DIC menus on higher trim trucks, not the radio. Radio controls are paddle switches on the back of the steering wheel. It is not possible to add them after the fact even if you got a new wheel and harness.

yep, the 2 buttons on left  of right side wheel controls do your phone and voice command, next to it is for the DIC cluster on LT trim and up....paddles in back are for radio.....cannot be converted on custom trims as far as I know and a lot have tried I believe
