RAPTOR UPOL bedliner tips for PSI, rockers, bumpers and bed

Recommended Posts

hey there im going to beat the dead horse some more. Last fall i used UPOL RAPTOR bed liner to completely spray the whole under half of my truck and all of my frame. It has held up super well and only has one small spot that needes touched up. There was no prep work done. Just cleaned and sprayed.

That impressed me so much im going to spray my bed with the raptor. While im doing that and have my truck taped off i am going to spray my front/ rear bumpers, the lower half of the truck (where there is that natural line that's even with bumpers) and the inside of my fenders. Basically want to protect it from rust.

For the bed: from what i understand use a red scotch Brite to take all the clear coat off, wash it and dry it really well then its ready for spray.

Bumpers: scratch the chrome/ plastic with the red scotch Brite, spray it with adhesion promoter and then spray it with bed liner.

Lower half/ rockers: same as bed.

Inner fenders: probs use brake cleaner or something to degrease, red scotch Brite, wash and then spray.

From what i understand a lower PSI like 40 means more thick/ chunky texture and a higher PSI like 65 or 70 means a thinner less chunky texture? Is this correct? I think id do like 40 or so for the bed and do the rest in a higher PSI so that it has less bumpy texture and is more smooth.

Any other tips?
