Yes, today was the first time I had ever seen it listed on my Chevy dealerships website anyway

They have had it in place for awhile.
So far the website seems to be showing 0 percent extended.

So what’s with the first responder discount? Marketing ploy? I have had 3 dealerships tell me that using the first responder discount doesn’t do anything to help me. Both are saying the $6500 dealer and $6500 GMC cash is the best price offer.
Why wouldn’t the dealer add it to the GMC cash?

I didn’t get my military discount, they gave me supplier pricing which was better than the military discount.

I ordered a truck and the dealer got it when they were closed for the stay at home order by our Governor. So now I have a new truck but can't get it. As far as the deals go many of you are looking at this all wrong. I'm taking the rebate and 2% financing, 2 % is not zero but it's dam close  just ask for it. Everyone thinks its one or the other you really can have both and if you add $200 a month you can chop at least a year off. It's how I have paid off other. 60 mouth loan paid off in 36 months.

I went on the GM website and built a truck and the when I came to final price it allowed me to combine the 6500 (consumer cash) and military discount, which if Im not mistaken is the same amount as supplier  discount. When I called a GMC dealer who's website has a banner across the top that says " If you are military/first responder your deal may be even better" , I asked the salesman if I could combine military and GM discount and he said "I don't know I'll check with my manager and call you back" He never called back. It seems to be up to the individual dealer whether they will allow you to do it. I have since found a couple dealers that took an additional 1200 off for military discount. I made sure not to bring it up until I was pretty sure I was at the best price I was going to get. I mean what good does it do not to be able to combine the discounts ? Who is going to to take a 3000 discount instead of a 6500 discount. Maybe somebody in the business can correct me if Im wrong but doesn't the military/first responder/supplier discount come out of GM's pocket ?

That’s my point. I would assume it’s GMs money bank. So why they fight it so much is interesting. I have them down $6K from dealer. $6500 from GMC and you should be able to get more. Maybe the dealers 6K is from the msrp starting point?

I thinks its fair to say any money the dealer says he's giving you he's starting from MSRP, then take off 6500, and if you can get anymore I think your doing pretty good, whether its military/supplier/first responder or whatever. I think 20+ percent of MSRP your doing ok. Just be careful if you have a trade involved.

I work at a GMC dealer - the incentives on 1500s didn’t change.

The dealerships that aren’t showing rebates, just hasn’t been updated - it happens every month.

And if you are only getting a $3-4K dealer discount - you need to come see me.  We have some of the best pricing in Texas.

Damn, where were you 2 weeks ago lol

Dealt with a GMC dealership in Houston. Old bait & switch....when I got to the dealership after they sent me a price, they just "dealer traded" it. But offered another AT4, but could not discount that one. Ironically, the AT4 they dealer traded is still on their site...Oh, well, Im happy with the Trail Boss....

My local dealer is showing $3,500 consumer cash on HD Diesel Silverados, $1,750 on gas models. GMC dealer is showing all their HD trucks at sticker price.

There are definitely some amazing deals to be had right now. I bought a 2020 4x4 LTZ silverado in Houston Saturday for over $16k off msrp. Did all the negotiating over the phone and through text. I mightve been in the dealership for a total of 45 minutes. Now im trying to figure out what my first mod will be

Yeah $16k is amazing. I got $13,500 on my Denali and working on getting an AT4 or Trail boss and nobody wants to budge, especially on the Trail Bosses, dealers are only offering $3k (dealer discount) off if that + GM rebate. Have had more luck with the AT4 but the msrps are start higher so there’s that.

I think alot of dealers are holding tight. I'm at 13.488K off MSRP. I'm going to wait until they want to move it. So far everything over the phone, and 1 visit so they knew I was real. I'm pushing to get 15K and ill make the move.
