Was going in my 6l80. I’m not sure about the quantity needed for the 8spd but the fluid is fine for it.

 

Edit- after some research it seems the 8l90 needs dexron-hp fluid and the fluid I have is only approved for dexron-vi spec. So I can only confirm this is ok for the 6 speed.
