Thinking of selling my 14 Allterrain 39k miles

Thinking of selling my 2014 1500 crew cab summit white Allterrain. It has 39k original miles 6.2L tuned. Nht tow package. 6" lift 35x12.5x20 tires w/ rockstar rims. Debadged. custom magnum truck grille. Custom Front and rear bumpers. Smoked tails. Morrimoto fogs. Retrofit source hid kit. Flush hard bed cover. Mbrp exhaust. K&n cold air intake, Opt 7 led triple redline brake light bar with reverse, stop and sequential turn signals. Tow mirrors Leather interior. Heated seats, Bose w/sub, 8" screen, tinted windows, RBP side step rails. I'm second owner bought it in 2016. Originally truck came from Canada. Never seen snow since I've owned it. I've only put about 3000-4000 miles on it since I bought it.

KBB for truck is $30,000 trade in roughly not including any upgrades. I owe $22K still. From what I've read, with truck being a 6.2L with nht package I should be able to get somewhere around mid to upper $30s

I have a ‘14 6.2 all-terrain Double cab with 56k miles with a tune, bilsteins, and hid’s.

 

I’m expecting high 20’s. Mid to high 30’s is too high imo.

I was thinking mid 30s if I sold outright. I was already offered 30k by a couple dealers. Looking to get into a newer model or a 2500 gmc possibly prices and rates really good right now

That is a lot of "custom" mods. Are those painted stock bumpers? Is that a bolt on grill you purchased? Does the truck sit in a garage? Mods don't add value, especially when you paint stuff as that shrinks your audience because it is now one person's special style. I would figure about 30 tops, there is an abundance of trucks out there with excellent deals on new (why wouldn't someone spend 10k more and get a brand new well equipped 6.2?) as well as tons of used trucks out there. I have a buddy that is trying to sell his modded Duramax, he is asking 10k more than a nice stock one. It isn't moving and sites are messaging him about being way too high and to adjust his price. Take the 30 trade in and that will take it off the financing of the new truck, you will save on taxes and payments/interest. Financially speaking if you still owe 22k on a 6 year old truck getting in to a newer larger one probably isn't the best idea unless it is just flat out needed to tow a heavier load.

If you kept any of the OEM parts, you can replace them, then sell your mods separately. And still get the 30k on trade-in.

 

Selling stuff online is a challenge. You are free to ask anything you want, but you also have to store it until it sells (making payments, in your case) while dealing with dozens of low-ballers and tire-kickers. Maybe you find that one guy that values your mods, who knows. Trading it is definitely the easier route.

^this. Mid 30's is a pipe dream. If you truly want to maximize your dollar, de-mod and return back to stock and sell your mods. Have to weigh whether it's worth your time and effort though.

It is kept in the garage. Bumpers are actually covers grille is a bolt on but had to cut original. I would owe less but i refinanced it after owning it for a year to get a cheaper payment.

Being offered 30 on a trade deal is just smoke and mirrors . their just manipulating the figures to make it sound good . I don't believe a dealer would offer over 22,000 outright sale to them with no trade.

I was thinking about getting a 20 Trail Boss and trading in my 2017 Silverado LTZ 5.3 w/21k miles. I was only offered $31k for it. I could probably get more but I just walked. You always get screwed on a trade in.

If you are in no rush, which could be expected now with what is going on, start high and work your way down to what you think is fair.

 

It is a nice truck, not like you will be worse off if you keep it a while longer.

Nothing wrong with it. Drive it till it's paid off, then enjoy payment free driving for at least a little while.

If a dealer is offering you 30k, do your homework, they are screwing you on the other end.
