It's doesn't look any worse than the new body style GM 1500s.  Has a 400hp motor standard.   Decent looking interior.  All makes have their issues... So why not?

well something has to change if you cant sell your product in highly sought after industry like truck market.....

Like any other vehicle it has pros and cons. I like the column shifter, powertrain, and suite of safety features that come standard as well as making ACC standard (my biggest gripe with GM). It also does not have the stupid auto stop-start system.

It really isn't a bad truck, and the improvements finally make it more competitive. That being said, I think the Big 3 trucks are all better as a whole.

the first editon body style was good looking truck....they should have kept that and just tweeked it a bit, I also saw a lot more of them on road than I have lastest ones

I am sure its not a bad truck, being where they are now it would seem they have to offer more for less until they gain a rep and following...they are kinda pricey for literally no demand

The T1 looks better than the K2. Maybe you should trade yours in for a Titan. So why not?

I drove a 2018 model as a rental in Albequerque a few years ago.  MPG was actually amazing.  Hand calculated over 400 miles through the mountains with a 3 hour traffic jam due to rockfalls and I still got 20mpg.  Computer showed 22.  The Rockford stereo blew away the bose in my 2014 and my new 2019.  It rode rougher than my 2014 GMC I remember, but I had Bilsteins all the way around so it rode like a Caddy.

Looks are okay.  I think the XDs with more aggressive stance look sharp.  I was disappointed that the 5.0 cummins never really lived up to its potential.  It should have been a 15k lb towing truck, not a 12.5k lb truck.  Both GM and Ford can beat or match it with gas engines.

Would I buy one?  Maybe if I got a really good deal but it wouldnt be my first choice.   If i was going foreign I would rather wait to see what the new Tundra is going to look like.

Looks are subjective, but I love how some people hate the new GM trucks so much they find themselves vouching for an old Nissan with less power, less torque, less payload, less towing, less interior space, less fuel economy.

Not to mention you can’t even find any Titans to buy if you wanted one. Large Nissan dealer that advertises constantly in the Milwaukee market literally has ONE in stock. And to me it seems a bit overpriced and under-discounted vs the domestics, or even the Tundra.

When the XD came out a few years ago with the 5.0 Cummins, I thought that was kind of interesting. Give em credit for trying but it wound up being complete junk. Maybe that’s still clouding the image for me...I dunno.

T1 loses to Ram on interior.  Hell, it would lose to last gen Ram on interior.  It was a pretty weak effort on GMs part.  And I have an LTZ with upgraded interior.

I think I have seen maybe 5 total in last year on the road......

I did see a Lincoln 1/2 ton with 6" lift and all done up few weeks ago

One of my coworkers drives one of those Mark LTs or whatever they're called. Only one I've ever seen.

@truck_newbie I don't hate the looks of the Titans the way most folks seem to. I feel like they were tying to go for a sort of big rig look, similar to what Dodge did in the early 90s (though obviously executed differently).

I thought from what I read that they have pretty low towing and payload capacities and they get beat on by the media for poor interiors (though Ram seems to be the only one that doesn't these days). I also didn't think the reliability was that great so I was wondering who would buy a half ton with Tundra capability and Ram reliability, though that might be better in recent years.

And, as someone else mentioned, it seems ridiculous to me that you have to go to a $60k CAD MSRP SV Midnight to get heated seats. Then again, I think it's ridiculous that you have to go to a $55k CAD+ RST/ Elevation to get bucket seats.

That's probably why the T1 sales were surpassed by Ram.

All full size trucks outsold Titan so your point? I'll keep my T1 you can keep the K2 Shakerado. Or, get the worst selling truck. So why not?

The Blackwood was cool. The Mark LT was about as badge engineered as a Cadillac Cavalier...err...I mean Cimmaron.

The Blackwood got lots of hate for essentially having a big trunk with the hard tonneau cover and carpet in the bed but it seems to me like that would be the perfect choice for all the yuppies who want to use trucks like cars these days.
