Misterjungs HID's

FYI:

Recently installed HID's purchased from Misterjung's Web site. Better prices than HIDS4LESS. The kit cost less than $400 shipped to my door. I purchased the conversion kit for the low beams (the 9006 bulb) and installed it on my 03 2500HD about 2 months ago. The kit installs in less than an hour, and if you reverse the terminals in the stock harness you can do a real clean job, and won't need to use the intermediate connection (between the Harness an Ballast).

These lights give off is impressive illumination (I bought the 6000K series :) ). Since I've installed them I've had several people ask me were I purchased them. With these lights, you really don't need your high beams. I have'nt had any complaints (i.e. people flashing me) so assume the stock housing position is OK.

If you no longer need your high beams, I'm gonna say your head lights are not adjusted properly. Also, what truck are you using these in? Year?

z71guy, common sense tells me the lights are not adjusted correctly, so I would agree with you on that point. However, no one has complained.

You have to install the lights and drive a night with them in order to understand what I mean when is say my High beams are no longer needed. If I switch to the high beams, sure the light reaches out there a little further, but the light intensity of the HID's is such that you won't want to use your stock highs.

What truck are you driving? The reason I ask is because Sylvania Xenarc's are made for the 99-02 chevy trucks. Road legal HID kit for about the same price as your's.

Sorry, Z71, I forgot to mention it in my previous post, my truck is an 2003 4x4 Crewcab, 2500HD with 8.1/allison. And these lights are full blown HID's. Sylvania's includes the whole light assembly, and is similar to the HID's I installed in my BMW, i.e. the kit also included the light enclosures for both high and low beam. Sylvania's big sales pitch is that the shape and reflective coating inside their housing is specifically designed for HID bulbs.

However, mine are just fine. I have not changed the focal point, hence there are no stray rays of light. I therefore do not beleive I need to adjust the beams. They are just fine. Should anyone choose to buy and install them, you will know what I'm talking about, and you will not regret it, especially if you do any night driving.

If in the future, people should start to flash their lights or fingers at me, then I'll get the hint and adjust as may be required. But as for the past 2 months, I've encountered plenty of traffic, including police and highway patrols, and have not had any problems.

End of story.

Kinda why I didnt get the Xenarcs. Guy I work with got them. Mine are brighter. I dont really see the advantage to the Xenarc housings yet. One thing I didnt really take into account was that oyu have an 03 and I have a 99. I had to re-aim mine to bring them down some.

 Haa, got you beat! I paid for my h.i.d.'s 185.00 pls 25.00 shipping! I got them off ebay from a liquidation company called ''selltoall'' , anyways mine are 8000K and they are awesome :D now, Gilbert as you said ,yes you have to re-aim your headlights, I own a 97 blazer s10 , and it's the best investment I have made! Gilbert I also agree, we dont need the high beams, and Im not blinding anyone, at least I dont think so, cause I dont get lights flashed! :D I dont know if anyone else had this problem though, I would have only one or the other fire up because the stock relays could not handle the electrical spike consuption they require, I did some research and found on the web how to make a custom wiring harness to protect original wiring and get the lights to work properly, you use 12 gauge wire a 30 amp relay a 30 amp inline fuse and (2) 15 amp fuses one for each light and feed straight from the battery and you use your original light switch as the activator. :D hope I given some very useful advice to some...... happy trucking.........Rob
