It is quite remarkable how quickly information can change and be disseminated! It's We flew internationally at the end of January and at that time were becoming well aware of the potential crisis.

The information was available in a far more timely manner than many chose/choose to accept. Looking to cast or deflect blame does not change the crisis. I am sure history may reveal some uncomfortable truths and some may even be contrary to what you believe!

I saw the WHO press conference. I saw them condemn the president for closing travel from China and Europe. The doctors that got disappeared in China were trying to warn the world. The China picked head of the WHO was protecting China. How big of a hammer do you need? Remember the saying, they lied people died? Applies here.

I guess it gets under my skin when there’s a published plain as day and people can’t see it. People want to know why Trump feels the need to tweet and appear daily at these pressers. He’d get eaten alive if he didn’t. The WHO debacle is proof of this. It’s well documented the U.S was ahead of the curve, even when the WHO wasn’t. As we speak the dems are trying to come up with another impeachment strategy. Saying he didn’t act fast enough. While Nancy was at the time encouraging people to be out and about during the same time. As some government leaders were doing the same in New York and New Orleans. Just can’t make this stuff up.

I see Covid19 as a global issue and American politics take up only a small amount of my news watching time as it relates to this topic. I’ve documented how I feel about this in the thread I started. I appreciate how other people feel especially if they don’t have much time to read or view everything. I was pretty closed minded until the early 80s. I was lucky my equipment started having radios. I got tired of only music, started listening to talk radio. PBS, Rush, Dave Ramsey, Dr Laura, Oliver North, Alan Comes. Change my life, politics, financial, amazing when you look at all sides. Same thing on tv. I believe I’ve been pretty close on this Coronavirus thing. I believe I will be on the WHO too. As far as loyalty. Undeniably the US has gotten better in the last 3 years, until this bug.

Don't put words in my mouth. I didn't say nor imply 'backing'. I rightly questioned the motivation to treat that story like they knew then what they know now. Everybody not in the line of fire is Joe Montana on Monday morning but play like Tim Tebow if they themselves were under the gun.

Some of the things you say....Tedros Adhanom is an Ethiopian with no ties to China and the head of the WHO and was not hand picked by the Chinese.

Honestly it isn't this virus that wears me out.....ya know what does???????????????????

It wasn’t just Trump who claimed this. It were many others. They’re working their way through the U.N too. China that is. Why wouldn’t they? That’s how communism works. You do realize this right? Of course if Biden happens to win I’m sure he’ll put his son in charge of China. To make sure they tow the line.

Wife told me today that some video she was watching until all hours of the night said this "guy" says he's found a cure for this virus. Direct injections of vitamin C. I told her I was going take her phone away and lock her in her room until she knew what BS smelled like. Last week it was some guy supposedly standing outside the backdoor of a major NYC hospitial interviewing employees as they left work claiming there was no COVID-19 in NYC. That is was a communist plot. A guy hears allot of things that just don't pass the smell test.

I was ammused for awhile until people started to take the BS serious. Then I tried logic and reason. Now I'm just sick of of it. Next I suppose I'll say something that draws the wrath of the CLOWN and a big time, time out.

I've learned to turn off the sound and closed caption and just watch the people in the background. Especially in the hosptials and field units. That tells me whats BS and whats Roses. Oh wait. Every news outlet has ban together and hired a few hundred thousand extras to control the naritive of the background too. :rollin:

Now, I just don't care. Everybody believe as you wish.......I got better things to do than look for the boogie man behind every story. Like my cross word puzzels.

Here's what I believe.

You have a state that has 10 ICU beds and 10 vents. Your daily new infection rate is 50 and your resolution rate is 20. That is 20 people a day either get better or die. Your adding 30 new unresolved cases a day. You put two patients on each vent. You can treat 20 people....sort of. The news says you are flattening the curve. Meaning you are at a steady 50 new cases a day. Problem is your at a 20 case a day resolutions. So you are falling behind 30 cases a day. Sooner or later that resolution number must rise to an equilibrium. Meaning more people are dead. Because? Some fraction of your new cases never get the treatment needed that may have saved their life. But hey, the politicians look really good they flattened the curve.

Until the case load falls BELOW the available treatment capacity a flat curve means NOTHING.

I have to believe that some fraction of people that graduated high school can do 5th grade math....right?

Illinois Governor said yesterday not to expect a return to "normal' until we do the three "T" s. Test, Trace, Treat.
