2020 Chevy2500hd DEAD

Recommended Posts

Once your batteries are recharged, start your vehicle and the shut it off.   Open and close driver's door while staying in vehicle.  Watch all the modules shut down and see if one doesn't.  If one doesn't shut down, I would try pulling the fuse and see if that fixes it.

Something is wrong - batteries should not discharge while setting that long.  A trip to the dealer is warranted to find the cause of the problem.  Do be certain to put a good quality battery charger on the batteries to recharge them properly.  An alternator is a good battery maintainer but takes a long time to recharge a battery and diesels have two of them.  I believe the passenger side battery has terminals for recharging and both batteries will recharge at the same time. It will take several hours or more with a good charger.

I’ve got a 2020 Chevy 2500hd Duramax, I haven’t driven it in 6 days went out to crank this morning and it was like the batteries were dead, I had to use the actual key in the Fob to open my door to get in, any idea?

After you got in, did the truck start fine?

My new 2020 Silverado RST has the same issue... Found the truck completely dead after 2 days of not driving!

How do I determine if all modules power-down? And which one(s) are not?
