Yes, it's a worldwide conspiracy to not give hydroxychloroqine to people, just to make Trump look bad.  Bizarrely, thousands and thousands of Republican doctors across the US are also docilely following along with this devious plan.

Even in Brazil, where they are handing out hydroxychloroqine like it's a tic-tac, people continue to get ill and die just to spite Trump.

And the makers of hydroxychloroqine are also meekly going along with it as well.  Instead of performing a simple clinical trial of giving it to people and then documeting the results (with control groups, yadayadayada), proving it works, they just are going along with making Trump look bad and accepting the results of the various clinical trials of it that the CDC and other organizations must have obviously falsified.

And for some reason (probably blackmail), even Trump's most diehard ball-cuppers in the Senate are also getting sick instead of taking it, as well as a bunch of his advisors in the White House.

Enough Republicans are getting sick and/or dying from it, when they could easily take hydroxychloroqine, it's almost enough to make a person believe it doesn't actually work.

You said something about trials? Looks like it works to me

Don’t you love it when someone doesn’t agree with you they somehow sneak in idiot in their response. It’s the same person all the time. He’s also mentioned in different threads he rides. Many members of my family ride. They all agree. The accident rate of motor cycle riders is nearly 100 percent. They love it so they take the chance. We have better odds of protecting and mitigation with this virus. And he calls us idiots. Go figure.

It’s very childish when people call names at this age. Seems like with certain individuals that’s all they know how to do once they disagree and get upset. I’ve had a few insults hurled at me. Par for the course.

Hey thank you mookdoc. I appreciate it.

I quit responding to that individual directly. I never seen anyone that hatted to be disagreed with as bad. Even a simple counter point is countered with a long analysis with edited quotes. Even the experts have been alternating their original positions on this bug as warranted. This guy position is everyone stay home indefinitely. No schools no nothing. Hardly any doctor says that anymore. Basically protect the elderly and ill. Follow the guidelines.

And yet they didn't manage to run that study in a way to actually know if it made a difference or not.  It's not like how to run a trial changes every week, and they didn't even try to do a proper trial.

If it were just to make Trump look bad, the Senate health care panel would be all over it, with hearings on why it's being suppressed, because it would be an easy win for Republicans.

And of course there was nothing but anecdotal/internet conspiracy information available way back when Trump first started flogging it.

Well, you got certain people who are still married to their initial take on the virus. It reminds me a lot of people with the weather around here. At least once a year, they forecast some ludicrous amount of snow, say 16 inches. When the system shifts and all that falls is 4 inches, many people still act as though it’s a blizzard and that we got the 16 inches. Cancel school, call into work, panic, etc.

Inability to move off the initial projections of this virus and view things as they are is a similar condition...but a much bigger problem than overreaction to snowfall.

Some people are also totally unable to defend their positions (or their lousy political affiliation) at this point. Therefore the only option they have is to personally attack the person delivering an argument that counters their own beliefs.

“Well where’s your medical degree???” is a popular one that’s been thrown around a few times here. As if we are unqualified to criticize anyone in an industry that we do not work in. But really, we all live in the aftermath of Fauci’s directions. We can see the resulting human suffering and make our own assertions about his competence.

They are tripping over themselves trying not to say the shut down was too long. Remember all those beds available in New York that weren’t used? Why did they send the sick back to the old folks home? They made extra beds in California, Texas and New Orleans. They weren’t used. Millions spent on medical devices that will never be used. All that proves even the experts get it wrong. It’s all Trumps fault right? There’s millions of people who are wondering, what the hell happened to my life? Much more than who test positive so far. Something happen to logic. It doesn’t live here anymore. It’s all politics. No fooling. The same people are saying no police needed. Really? And we’re listening to them? We’re losing our minds.

That’s a very good analogy. Happens where I am all the time in the winter as well. We’ve had it been rain and not snow and they still closed.

We just got an email today about my kids school schedule. Teachers will work everyday. Students will be having a hybrid schedule. A-l first two days, m-z last two days. Three days will be homeschooling. Gonna be real interesting to see how parents are going to manage this. I have kids in elementary, middle, and high school. Two working parents. What do they think were going to do with the youngest? Is they’re going to be such thing as daycare anymore? If they go to daycare, they will be exposed to more kids. What does this solve? The teachers will be exposed to both groups and vice verse. [emoji2357]

So I'm standing at the door holding both halves of a light 15 foot cable used to put the dog out on and mention to the wife that it is broken in two pieces in a somewhat amazed tone.

I hear from the wife standing two feet away, and a condescending tone all hands on her hips, "No it isn't, I just had Rex out".

Hum.... "Look" I say, holding it for her inspection..

'I don't have to, I just used it" she quips

I don't hate to be disagreed with. I hate being told I'm not seeing what I'm holding in my hands and looking at because some one else refuses to look at the truth.

I don't mind being corrected. I mind being corrected incorrectly.

:wtf:

:idiot:

You don't like that?

Early on when data was first being shared by the WHO and the CDC and Worldmeter I constructed a set of graphs periodically to show the trends in the news. Over 240 nations contribute to that data pool. The US population is but 4% of the worlds. Spitting in the ocean.

So a GUY hears on a pod cast the data is corrupt. Great! What did he say were the real numbers? And that is when the discussion goes off the rails. Let's play this at fifth grade level.

Teacher, "So class as you can see two plus two equals four".

Student. "I heard on Pod Cast that is not true"

Teacher, "So what does it equal" and he hands him the calk.

Student, "I don't know ".

Teacher. "That's not an answer, what does it equal"

Student, "He gets real good you tube reviews and has a billion hits

Teacher. :wtf:

And now class the teacher 'hates to be disagreed with'.

Now, back in your box!

Well, the data was indeed proven corrupt. He wasn’t wrong. Playing the messenger and simply passing along bad info doesn’t mean you yourself weren’t incorrect. ?

What does “now back in your box mean”? I would love a thorough explanation of how that helps this forum.

I want to know who listens to or watches a pod cast. That’s brought up a lot too. Sometimes no sense is being made. That may be the point, babble.
