Coronavirus

It is interesting how people talk about this curve. It is valuable if you know when and where the original outbreak began and are able to measure everyone infected from that single point (its a lab mice model). But if the source came from multiple points at multiple times, AND isnt measured until AFTER most of the people have been infected (with or without symptoms), its just a useless textbook picture...

Imagine just starting to test right now for this years seasonal flu; you would see a rapid incline from zero, but you are actually at the end of this years cycle. 4-6k deaths would appear quite alarming, but considering 45k have already died, it is a false trajectory. The cdc says 60 million a year get the flu in the US with only a fraction testing positive, yet covid is only counted by positive tests? I have full confidence, covid19 will have infected over a billion people worldwide making the death toll much more in line with the flu if not less since children are not affected near as much. Wuhan is a very polluted city in a communist country, while Italy is showing an average age of death from covid19 at 81 years (seriously?). See the 2011-14 articles reviewing the 2009 H1N1 outbreak for information on this (not the newer stuff as it is biased as hell like everything these days)...

This whole ordeal is taking it's toll on the local business's around here. My work is just about the verge of shutting down it seems. Going from being open 8-5 to 9-3:30 next week and beyond. Most of us start well before business hours and with that all our hours are being cut. Looks like partial unemployment is my next steps.

The media age has become our best friend and worst enemy at times:

One America News Reporter Asks Trump If Saying ‘Chinese Food’ Is Racist

This reporter is very concerned about the Pandemic…. Her job or livelihood is not effected, so let's take it to the next level of just WTF....

I'd be more worried about a vaccine or cure.

HAVE YOU SEEN I AM LEGEND?!?!?[emoji1787]

I dont get all the gloves. It's airborne.

My wife and I both work in "essential services", so no shut down will stop us from going out daily. I have read up and listen to world leading experts and.....

I'm not worried at all.

You can go out and do things lucky you. My brother in law got transferred back here. We go to Tennessee Monday to get his one ton and fifth wheel. My run away imagination sees a mad max adventure. This surreal.

He's modern-day racist.  When he steps up to the podium in front  of camera's, it's "corona virus".  When he's a keyboard warrior, it becomes "Chinese virus"...

I imagine if you looked at his business ventures you would see a mixture of a melting pot. Making money has no race or color. Any person who’s been in business knows that. Just like Regan only better this man will be remembered as a great leader. The left can’t give him credit it’s more about party than county. When fist elected the republican never trumpers fought him along with the left. While he cut taxes, regulations etc. Now he shut down the country about to hand out money. Democratic, socialism at its best. The only thing left can complain about now is we’re not giving money to business. Racist I don’t think he sees color. For your information he’s been calling it the Chinese virus. I thought you were better than that.

Every things cool until there is no food then the FSA goes on the warpath. I've noticed on many sites the crybabbies are the ones that didn't bother to prep and have no savings. It's probably going to be 3-5 years until things are back to "normal" so buckle up, it's gonna be a rough ride.

We always have an ample supply. Even toilet paper. My wife and I married in high school. About ten years of being tight followed. When all the kids got in school she started working. We became debt free. We always prepared for the worst. One vehicle with a full tank. Can goods stack up. Gas, log fireplace etc. Not dooms dayers just prepared. I’m believing this is a way overreaction. If it goes past 60K deaths here like a bad flu season. I’ll re think it. Either way you can thank the media for the hysteria.

I'm still impartial. Everyone said WW3 would be different with unconventional weapons this could be it? The insidious nature of bioweapons is everythings just fine and dandy...until it isn't.

I’m optimistic. I’m reasonable don’t give in to fear. If this came from the Middle East I’d be worried. The Chinese need us sheep to buy their goods. They wouldn’t plan this under a Trump presidency, he can’t be bought. He’s the only president that will lose personal treasures serving us. Small minded people will say he has so much, he don’t care. Well, if you haven’t noticed the man has an ego the size of Texas. This is a sacrifice for him. He was loved by both sides ( money talks), he half that becoming president.

I don't think it was purely intentional even tho their trade negotiations were not going so well. I think the bug got away from them aka the Anthrax  situation in Russia that harmed a small town a number of years ago. I think the failing was the Chinese  not signaling to the world the genie was out of the bottle.

A little taste. In case people are wondering how this will effect the travel entertainment industry. I’m a frugal person will an entertainment travel budget. After tax season, my wife does free service for AARP. We usually start traveling in May. We visit her 89 year old dad either in Myrtle Beach or Fayetteville. We feel were on the clock with him for obvious reasons. Usually May, August, December, sometimes a cruise too. Will probably lose at least two visits with him[emoji22]. Gas, food, hotel, casino, up and back. Usually 2-3K each way. Multiple times by two, possible 3. That doesn’t count my weekly here at home. That’s with an economy type car not a truck. Imagine.... family’s travel. Now imagine work travel. Then every thing else. Whew. Now you’ll start hearing, gee this isn’t as bad as we thought. Cover my as$ time. As our economy has crashed.

Little House On The Prairie. Pa says to Ma. Let’s go west. Ma what about the unfriendly? We’ll be kind. What about our house? We’ll build one. What about food? We’ll hunt, clear our land and plow our fields. What if our ox dies? I’ll do it by hand. What if our child dies? We’ll mourn our loss and have another. Living our life free, with free will is worth it. What have we become? They could have stayed home.

How much coffee are your drinking Stan? [emoji4]

Good point, too much. I’d better be careful I may break the tree. I recently watched Will Rogers life story. Probably remembering my working life with my father is influential in my thoughts. His never give an inch, work comes first attitude is deeply ingrained. Being the oldest and influence even by his father ( who lived through the Great Depression and WW2) is hard to even up with today’s attitude. They would both be throwing things at the TV.
