Coronavirus

KARNUT

Recommended Posts

My son is now day 21 self quarantine, migranes are debilitating.  Still learning as we go.  Self quarantine is definitely not a consolation prize for getting covid without hospitalization.

Heard we've lost 1000 front-line workers, nurses and doctors.  Don't know if it matters to build additional hospital space like they did a few months back, who's going to work it?

Read that the US should model what European countries did to control the virus.  The reasons I agreed with, but why look over there, NY ain't that far.  The nursing home issue, I got it.  But why not do what they did?  They went from worse to first.

However, coronavirus-related deaths are beginning to tick up in several hot spots. The seven-day average of newly reported deaths caused by Covid-19 hit record highs on Thursday in six states: California, Florida, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Utah.

12 million world wide adding now a million every six days four periods running.

Does that stat matter though? It's not in a slow down stage, it's just going to keep going steady.

Flipping a switch and shutting down a country won't fix it either.

Well it’s not because of the protesters. The media said so.

Average deaths per day throughout the pandemic is around 900. Avg death for flu 300. One has a vaccine. One doesn’t. One also is properly listed cause of death. Other, broadly painted for a few months. Let’s not forget how many get the flu and don’t report or go to doctors for it. Around 8k die per day. So 1 in 8 die of covid? Really? Meanwhile, others have been diagnosed with covid but never tested. I’ve seen that firsthand.

Is he taking HCQ with zinc?

A cousin is recovering also without having taken anything and a friend of my father, in his 70s, has been in the hospital for three weeks and all they're giving him are useless anti-biotics.

President Obama while running for office in 2008 was taking HCQ.

Here's the stats for Florida:

The media and their communist brethren want you to acquaint new cases with deaths, that is why they are all but silent on how many people are dying except when they can spin it and scare people.  As one can easily see, this thing is nowhere near that deadly and it still remains a threat to those who are very ill, almost like a virus designed to weed out the infirm.

My wife swims at the rec center 5 days a week usually with the same group of people. One she’s known for years. Her sister is a tester. According to her when they test you they ask how many people live with you. You come back positive, they add the rest with the assumption every one there will too.

Actually it isn't steady at all. The rate of increase is silly right now. A few weeks ago the daily average new cases we a little over 80 K a day (14 day average) with an acceleration rate near zero new cases per day / per day.

Currently the 14 day rate of increase is about 185 K per day with an acceleration rate of 2.9 K new cases per day / per day

Instead of adding a million new cases ever 12 to 13 days it currently stands at a million ever 6 days.

In the US cases clipped 60-70 K a day. Almost the world rate four weeks ago.

In the United States, the population age 65 and over numbered 49.2 million in 2016 (the most recent year for which data are available). They represented 15.2% of the population, about one in every seven Americans.

He's in the Navy, a majority of military doctors are a joke.  Department of Defense doesn't just try or prescribe medicine unless proven to cure what it's recommended for.  Also during routine and unscheduled drug tests, a military member can only have prescribed or over the counter drugs in their system.

Actually think it's higher, I don't have a nationwide trust the numbers are being reported honestly by every state.

Well, zinc is an over the counter item and that is what kills this thing.  The FDA allows those doctors to use HCQ on this if they actually read the orders and quit watching CNN.  They have HCQ in their pharmacies as they give the stuff out like candy to them before they travel overseas to prevent malaria.  Remind him that he can get treated by a civilian doctor If he can get off base or do a televisit with a doctor stateside if he's aboard ship.
