I just saw on CNN just minutes ago a notable uptick in Texas new cases. One of the 17 states showing an up trend. Up from 7 states week prior. Some lower 48 state map being trotted out.

You actually watch CNN?

Now the rest of the story. Yes cases are up in Texas. One reason is more testing. The other, most cases are at a processing plant. No more hospitalization. CNN will give the bad without the why. My local news station gave the complete story as did Fox News.

The president brought up the malaria drug again. I’ve been wondering. He’s taking it as a preventative. Turns out many people are doctors and nurses. Lots of good results, especially taken early.

Question for the group. IF your going to toss the CDC under a buss and not trust them then whom do you think has the technical expertise to do what they do? Whose the replacement?

As much as science is publicly thrown under the bus, ultimately a vaccine is Science.  Right now, the buzz word is "return to normal" (no distancing, safer at home, or mask).  Return to normal means the replacement is, do nothing.

Does taken early mean before or after you get the virus?  If it's before, we all should be taking it.  If it's after, then...

Over the weekend I saw what happens when the government over reaches in in places like New York and New Jersey. People throw caution to the wind and basically go nuts. They have to get out, damn the torpedos. Where In places like Texas and apparently Georgia and Florida. People stick to guidelines when opening. Because people are trustworthy and don’t feel oppressed. In the 4 times I ate out people were behaving like instructed, following guidelines. Things are looking good so far.

I understand that you may not like Gov Cuomo, but calling it government overreach is a bit much.  We're at the epicenter of this so our guidelines need to be stricter.  Believe me, I'm aching to get out and return to some sort of normal, but NJ is the most densely populated state so loosening the restrictions all at once just causes chaos.  They'll have to do it in the same manner that PA is.  Gov Wolf is loosening specific counties week by week.  That way it's not just one big free for all.  As you stated before, a one size fits all plan doesn't work.  Unfortunately for us in the Northeast, our numbers are the highest by far so the guidelines are staying in place longer.  And as such, you'll hear about some unfortunate incidents of people not abiding by the guidelines because more is being asked of us in terms of staying put.

I think when people really sit down and take a closer look they'll notice that Gov. Cuomo and President Trump are actually quite alike. They both talk too much during their pressers, and anytime they get a camera in front of them, they immediately put on a show.  Big shock since they're both from NY.

The president is taking it as a preventative. Doctors and nurses the same. I’ve taken it when I went to Malaysia in the 90s. My daughter takes it for lupus. Like any drug some people can’t take it. If you watch any ad on TV for drugs the side effects are scary. It’s risk versus reward. Just like opening the country.

But that leads to another problem, which is the shortage this is causing for people with Lupus who are actually prescribed the drug.

Yeah everyone is entitled to their opinion, I disagree with that one.

Wasn't looking that way, but the answer is yes.

CNN really, no way I watch CNN they are the most fake news network there is as they are one sided only report bad news no wonder there ratings have dropped a lot. Only network news I watch is OAN or Newsmax they tell it like it is and are not one sided. CNN wont even broadcast the President when he is making a update on the virus or the economy. CNN IS A JOKE

Interesting OPINION.

Normally I watch C-SPAN or local NBC. I'd watch FOX but spinning make me sick.
