Senator Paul brought up the Sweden model in the hearing with Fauci and others. In the context of one size doesn’t fit all in the regards to the US shut down. Out side of the New England states. The rest of the US could have stayed open, or at least a modified shut down.

I'm surprised more Governors haven't started opening up their states more.  Up here in the northeast, we'll be closed longer than everyone else, but the rest of the country has the ability to do what they want.

Because here in Michigan we have a dictator governor that is way over her head. She's trying to impress sleepy Joe and get the VP pick by shutting down our state. She's in the Auto manufacture's pocket, letting them start back May 15th cause the UAW endorsed Biden. Funny you can let thousands of people go back to work in the shops but she has no plan to let small business open.

They don't even know what is too fast.

They blow up stories about states that start to open and they get more cases. Well guess what, when you start expanding testing to more and more people you get more freaking cases. Things won't just go down if testing keeps expanding. There is no way is hell that any state can get 14 days of declines in numbers if you keep testing more people every single day.

Our governor here in MN says it's not about the numbers yet every single time this guy opens his mouth it's about the numbers and testing and this and that and whatever else about more numbers.

I saw a report yesterday that in some states most of the cases were in nursing homes and long term care for the elderly. The vast majority of states were that way half or more cases . Georgia opened up hard. The governor got admonished by the president for it. Keep an I there for trouble, if it develops. So far so good.

The number their watching isn't new cases. It's new hospital admissions v releases. The point being holding a 30% "surge" capacity of ICU beads and vents. Testing has zero effect on those numbers. Simple in v out.

Getting information on reserve capacity will be difficult for the common folk. The one site I had with such information got 'hated' out of publishing that data. Might try the actual states health board site????

Source for this?  Locally they are counting new cases from testing.

Some of them, yes, for political reasons.  Even doctors and hospital staff suffer from TDS.  This next comment is directed to everyone Marty.  Never forget, liberals are liberals first.  A liberal doctor will put his ideology first over his profession.  A liberal scientist will put politics over science.  A liberal preacher will put his political ideology over God's Word.

That is really REALLY sad.

It's also not 100% true. There are people of integrity.

Governor Andrew Cuomo in a daily briefing concerning New York's plan to reopen.  A week ago or so. on C-SPAN. It's is benchmark, one of many they (New York and the NE Pact ) are using to determine a 'regions' permission to reopen. He also mentioned things like Trained Tracers as a number per capita, ability to test a set number per capita per region, specific amounts of PPE.... it was along list. In other words there is/was a target date but actual permission is granted on compliance to THE 'standard'.
