2018 Sierra.  Drove about 2 hours yesterday.  An hour this morning.  Still an hour behind.  (Yes it's on auto).

Interesting. Mine did not change either. The date updated correctly (for leap year). I checked it was still on Auto. Just reset it myself.

I do not have an On Star script.??

Settings, time/date, push hour arrow once, done.  Quicker than starting a thread....  I appreciate that it should/could do it automatically but not worth a second thought, imo.  I was more upset that my new coffee maker didn't get with the programme!!  I hate time change time in my kitchen.  Getting everything on the same time is time consuming!

I noticed this back when I got the truck. I don't think GM has it updated with current Daylight savings time changes, probably still going off the old calendar.

Probably true.  It changed in 2007, so it's only been 13 years.  Give it some time!

The auto does require onstar service or a phone connected via bluetooth to update the time. Luckily I always have my phone with me and it is always paired to the truck so my time is always accurate.

I think that eliminating the spring & fall time change makes the most sense.  The stress of figuring out how to set our clocks exceeds any potential advantage of semi-annual time changes.
