My truck had a TPW of 3/16 and of course it was the week they shut down. I just had someone I know that can access the GM Order Workbench check the status of my truck. It shows event code of 3400 and also shows the VIN. Is there a chance it was built given the fact it shows the VIN?

I'd guess you have a good chance it was built, now the bigger questions is if they can ship it or if you'll still have to wait for things to settle before that happens too :(

There is no VIN until AFTER the truck is built.  If you have the VIN then your truck is definitely built.  Whether it gets shipped or not is another story.

Well if its built that is exciting news. Even if it ships I would have no way to receive it as the sales portion of dealerships are shut down here in NJ until further notice. Hopefully all this chaos clears up in a few weeks. Looking forward to seeing what kind of incentives and rebates GM puts out in April.

Just looking for some feedback from those who have ordered.

I have reached out to 5 dealers across three states (not all at once) and am having one hell of a time getting someone to put an order in for me. They keep trying to locate stuff no where near the build I am after. I kindly remind them again I want to order and almost verbatim between all of the dealers I am told "they" will get with the new car manager and then I never receive a call back. No amount of poking or prodding can I actually get an answer.

Have you seen this before? It just seems odd, not even a hey we just can't right now, I am just left in the dark. I know we are getting close to MY2020 order deadlines, but it is still open.

Not sure if you found a truck yet but here's a 2020 GMC Denali 3500HD in Fremont Nebraska

I called my dealer today.  He said as of last Friday my truck was still sitting in the parking lot in Flint, but they were trying for expedited delivery.  Yeah right.  The dealer is staying open as an essential service, so who knows what happens.  Might work to my advantage IF they up the incentives next month, but I was good with 3250.

I ordered mine originally in September of 19, obviously before the strike. My dealer had to reorder it in November because it fell out of the system for some reason, I finally took delivery early January. I think right now with the plants shut down because of the caronavirus that might be an issue. You may have to grab what you can that's available... perhaps. When you spend a lot of money, it's nice to get what you like but we are once again in a state of chaos so to speak.

[mg],87125519-stock-vector-fingers-crossed-sy things seem to move over the weekend.   I often see lots of transports on the road on Mondays.

It has been over two weeks since I ordered with Laura. The order should have been placed about a week before the GM shutdown was announced. Laura has taken my deposit and to-date has refused to give me an order number. I have called the dealership several times requesting the order number and asking if by chance an allocation was issued prior to the shutdown. I am told no one is in to provide that information or my sales rep continuously tells me he will call back and never does.

I know full well its gonna be a while. I just want to know exactly where things stand. For now, I have opened a case with GM to find out if an order was actually placed or if they sat on the paperwork.. Either way, they took my money.

At this point, there is probably no chance you will get a 2020.  With the shutdown happening at the end of the order cycle for MY2020, I would bet that when do get back up and running they will be running MY2021 or at the very least only finishing the current orders that were already accepted into the system.  If I were you, I would be DEMANDING my deposit back and then either find a truck already on a lot somewhere or wait until the order process for MY2021 comes out so you can see what you are ordering.  If Laura refuses to give your deposit back, contact your credit card company (assuming you put the deposit on a card).   Your only other option is to sit on your hands and wait, but you better be prepared to wait until fall to get your truck.  Just my 2 cents.

I am aware there is a strong possibility I may not see this order and that it may get canceled. All I want is transparency and a truck before 1 Sept.

They will keep building 2020's until the end ofJuly but they will stop accepting 2020 orders soon.

After receiving an escalation from GM customer service I finally received a call from Laura with the order confirmation number... Problem is when I check to verify it, I am told it is not valid. I was told to check my paperwork.. I laughed as Laura hasn't sent me anything. I have sent an email to my sales person requesting a copy of the workbench order.

This is crazy. Shouldn’t be that difficult to just get your order number. Even with everything going on. It takes them 10 seconds to look it up, literally.
I ordered my truck Jan 28.  It arrived at the dealership today April. 1.  I will pick it up in 2 days.

Congrats Dan! And with everything going on it’s even better news haha
