Infotainment update

Recommended Posts

Good morning I recently bought a 2020 Silverado and have twice received the “satellite signal lost” message Which resolved itself upon powering off and restarting the truck. Has anyone found a permanent resolution?  Thanks in advance

I have a 2020 Sierra and my concern is with the radio and phone connecting in a timely manner when you first get in the truck. If you want to make a phone call and get in to the truck to use your bluetooth then you might sit for a while before it boots up..anyone else see this issue? I had it for my first service and asked the service writer if it was a software upgrade issue and he told me that it is the first he had heard of it and there was no problem that has been  addressed by GM.

I bought a 2020 Silverado 3500 hd the first part of April. I have no idea if any infotainment update have been done but I have been having the same issues with the loss of satellite signal and phone not available when it is showing right on the screen. Friday while out for several hours it never acquired a satellite signal so I went straight to the dealer and showed them while the truck was running. They made a note a scheduled and appointment which I later postpone.

Has any one found a solution to these issues yet?

I have had this problem numerous times. Last Friday I had it again and I drove about 50 miles and it never came back on.  Maybe if we have xm send a refresh signal to our receiver it might work again.  I put this URL in my phone browser so the next time it happens I will try it.  Obviously GM needs to fix the problem.

That's an idea, i will do the same. I traded in a 2014 Silverado 1500 High Country and never had an issue I have never had an issue like this in any of my other GM vehicles other then a momentary loss when I pull into a garage or under a freeway overpass.

I had this problem again yesterday and doing the refresh did not resolve the problem.  So far the only option I have found is to shut off the truck and wait until retained power has shut down.  Restart and it works again for a while.

I have this same issue.  If the issue was with SiriusXM then more brands would be having this issue. I believe the issue is with signal reception not transmission.

I agree, I don't think its and issue with SiriusXM, the issue is on the receiving end on our trucks. Ether a loose connection to the antenna or and issue with the radio its self.

I have only had one issue since I last posted and it was momentary. I Canceled the service appointment on account of the issue not being present at the time. I didn't want them taking everything apart without any idea as to where to start.
