Major positive camber after UCA replacement and spacer addition

Recommended Posts

Its sitting at the alignment shop over night. They are gonna switch the balljoint tomorrow morning and hopefully it fixes the camber issue.

Josh at kryptonite said usually camber is fine if its within .8 to -.5 degrees camber (close to zero as possible) Currently the adjustment is maxed out and the camber is 2.1 degrees. Im hoping it gives another degree or so.

Other than that josh said adjusting ride height may help as well. Currently im at 2.5inches of lift with an eibach pro truck level kit. He said if I go up to the next notch it will definitely be able to be within spec. Im probably not gonna do that tho since it will be worse on CV angles and I would need a block in the back probably to make it look normal

I just called the alignment shop and they said that it worked perfect. They went in through the top and it basically adjusted just like a stock arm. The shop owner was super surprised that it worked only moving it about a quarter inch haha. Im stoked to pick up my truck later.

Man I have a 6 inch top spacer lift and still rocking some positive camber.  Went thru the top and corrected it some, but not sure if my eye should be noticing it meaning it’s still sticking out some.   I know the tech at Kryptonite said go thru top which was good, then said something about adding another inch or two of lift.  I’m not sure I can even do that since they dropped the diff with my Fabtech lift.

Yea im not sure what else to do, i had a shop do everything for me. Have you had it aligned since you put em through the top? The shop was able to get it right in spec went from like 2 degrees positive camber to around 0 I think.

I drove it around for about half hour total today. Eibach pro truck lift kit and kryptonite arms ride great so far. Got it set at 2.5in and its perfectly level. Tested it on the rail road tracks by my house and it was noticably better than stock ranchos. Its feels very controlled like it instantly recovers.

I haven’t done the passenger side, only driver.  Been trying to get it right before committing to the other side.  Probably going to knock out passenger side this coming weekend and see what the local shop has to say.  Just trying to avoid eating up these 35s driving around to find a solution!  Haha  Sounds like your shop did you right man!

Cool sounds like you got what you wanted.
My truck is at the dealer getting the rear window defroster recall done so they gave me a 2020 LT DBL cab 5.3 8spd 3.08
I drove over a set of rr tracks at a diagonal at about 15mph
I was amazed how bad it skittered across the tracks. Almost went a little sideways.
If I owned something like that I would be doing the same thing as you did.
On another note I really didn't like the truck. Lots of missing things. Some new things.
The auto stop start is stupid
I'd get rid of that right away.
As far as the DOD or AFM or whatever they call it now it's not as seamless as they make it out to be. You could feel it kick in just like a K2. I'll take either of my 2018's over that thing any day.

Here is are some pics on the new level and A arms. Before and after pics and a shot of the new hardware installed. Stock 17s/tires are very close to rubbing. I will need some small spacers to run some wider tires.

LushesJackson I can send some pics of the alignment cams maybe that can help you get yours dialed in.

Nice...  new additions always rock once you get it set right!  Quick question, are your camber plates maxed so bolt is to the back and the alignment pin is all the way forward in the camber plate groove?   I have about a Little less than a quarter inch left and wondering if I loosen my arm up again and squeeze a little more will it zero out my camber.
