But as said I don't feel that they are any better than my 2018 Base 2500 WT's projector lights, pretty sure they are LED but have never looked closely. I have 4300K Morimoto ballasts to so its not like I am running 6000k+ killing my output of usable light. So did you buy aftermarket headlights or did you open the factory housing and replace with a HID specific projector?

I thought the hd trucks had the same headlights as mine

I've got the Morimoto Xb 35w HIDs in my low beams and the Morimoto 2-Stroke LEDs in my high beams.  HIDs are ultimately brighter but they take time to warm up so I'd lose the ability to briefly flash my high beams, thus, I went with LEDs.  They're still super bright though.

Do the HID bulbs work well with the DRL function? My LTZ with projectors the low beam is also the DRL.
