People that post emojis and offer no advice for a real concern is what gets old.

Nothing new, I've seen immature posters on truck forums for 20 yrs now. Probably why they are so empty these days.

I am not sure at this point, I mean a picture of a cat with a caption should be more than enough information for anyone, don't you think?

I am pretty confident after seeing that, I could rebuild my transmission now, if all things were just that easy......

Just be patient, there is good information that is shared, just takes a while to show up at times.

I would at least have the dealership take a look at it, leaks usually do not fix themselves, use the warranty while you have it if you need to.

Hey Bud and welcome to the forums, my apologies for the assholes.

My Wifes van has the same no tranny dipstick bullshit, when it developed a leak I called the dealer and they brought a flatbed to take it to the shop. I wouldn't drive it.

"there is no way for me to add or check trans fluid"

Really?

How do you think the dealer or a mechanic services the trans.

I'm not trying to to bust your balls but you came on here to complain and then you mention the f word.

Your leak is covered under warranty.

So explain why you came here in the first place.

:)

I get all your points.

I stand by my original post.

He came here to complain.

:)

I came here to get some moral support for a major issue I'm having and not be trolled by some weenie.  This is what you have to do in order to check your level and add fluid.  Yeah certainly any backyard mechanic can do this in his garage!  Not!

Oh and by the way, I think I am entitled to complain about a transmission leak on a brand new $50,000 truck.  That's crap.

Taking it in first thing tomorrow morning.  That was the earliest they could get me a loader.  It is not just a few drops here and there kind of leak as evidenced by the cardboard underneath the vehicle last night.

Honestly it is quite scary to think that they might be tearing down the transmission on my brand new truck.  It had it rust proofed and undercoated at the dealer I bought it from.  The undercoating did not stick to the cross beam under the tranny so it was obviously already wet with fluid when they did that (and they did nothing).  I will never go back to the that dealer.

First leave it at service! Don’t forget to call GM Customer Help Line, start a complaint and they’ll issue you a number, then you’ll have someone contact you from GM, ask for a $750 voucher to be spent at any GM dealership for your troubles.

When at the dealership, ask to speak with the Service Manager, be nice about it cause it’s not their fault that it came this way from the manufacturer. Tell him you’re extremely disappointed being your very first GM vehicle. Let him know you’ve already started the complaint with GM and the rest is up to the dealership.

Thanks for the tip.  Will call them today.  What are my chances of getting $750?  :)

Oof.  Recently came over from Ford myself, they all have issues.

He is right. No trucks are is as reliable as they were in the early 90’s... way too complicated now and changing too often.

Well my truck has been at the dealership since Friday morning.  They finally called me this morning and told me it is the rear output shaft seal.  Won't be ready till next Monday.  Do you think my transmission will ever be the same?

Transmission will be fine, it's just a simple output shaft seal, they won't be going in to the transmission at all. It's acutally good news to be honest, could have been much worse.

Man this site has gotten brutal, hey guys maybe wait and see if the guy post's multiple negative post's before calling a new person basically a troll here just because they have an issue with their truck. Mods here really need to step up and deal with that because it is getting worse by the week it seems. If people look at this guy or the poor guy the other week who got his truck replaced and was instantly called a liar for some unknown reason i mean can you few please try and act like a normal adult please! Do you even comprehend that the new guy is not a troll for asking about his troubles but you are for harassing a person for no reason. If it bothers you few posters so greatly for anyone else who might be having trouble with their truck, try this, don't look at the post, skip over it and move on!
