Really? Tailgate speakers? What next? Guess you don’t plan on using your truck as a truck.

REally dude? How about pulling my 14,000 pound RV (cant do that with a car) and when I get to my destination I get to relax in my camping chair, put the tailgate down, and Bluetooth my phone into the speakers and listen to anything in the world. You do you, I'll do me.

I have the GM Kicker MultiPro Tailgate speaker system.  It took me about an hour to install.  It has a clean look and actually works quite well.

Is it worth it?  Hard to say....the sound is very tinny, so all you audiophiles out there should stay away.  However, we find it to be quite useful when hanging out near the truck when camping, at the kids’ soccer games, etc.

I can definitely see the use for the tailgate speakers. Living on the Texas Gulf Coast and going to the beach often, it would be nice to keep doors closed and windows up while at the beach to keep all the sand and salt blowing in the truck. In the past, to hear radio in the truck, doors open or windows down. Great fix for this problem.

Also, tailgating at Texans games i have similar problem with all bbq pit smoke blowing inside the cab since I wanna listen to tunes. Then for the next week my truck smells like a Bbq pit (not necessarily always a bad thing) [emoji16]

Seems like a cool feature and one I'll be sure to have.

Supposedly is 100W of output (50W per channel).  Most portable Bluetooth speakers are around half of that in terms of raw sound.  Although as far as W per $, they are much more economical.

I wish I could hear one in person to get an idea of it.  I think I want to purchase and install myself but don't want to be disappointed in output and end up never using it.
