Sucks that nothing is available for parts but what can we do for you?

It's not your fault they can't fix, so it's on them (the dealership) to take care of you. No doubt you got a loaner, so pretty much you wait. They won't lemon law or buy back your $60,000 truck because of this.

I would ask for the part number and call around to several major dealerships to see if by chance they have one on the shelf. I had that issue with a Ford back in the 90's in Globe AZ. I called around and found the part they needed in Phoenix. I told the dealer in Globe where it was and they sent a truck down to pick it up and my car was back working the next day.

2020 GMC 3500 Denali great truck but now stuck. Def issue has sidelined me out of town. I am losing $1,000 a day no parts to be found. I have a full extended warranty to 120,000 miles. I already am at 60,000 miles

Mechanic says I might need new truck which I lose over $15,000. Is there any help from GMC

Mine just went down with a P20C1 Reductant Heater C code. Second DEF issue in 20000 miles. I will see tomorrow (Monday) to see if I can get in and if parts are available.

I told myself I wouldn't delete my 2020 like I did my 2011. I tried to convince myself that "they must have DEF reliable by now", but here we are 10 years later, still unreliable junk. My 2011 was first year DEF, I cut them some slack.... still junk in 2020.

Wow.. The 2017-2019s seem to have had a decent run but I wonder if the 2020s are reverting to the crappy emissions systems on the LML.  Delete the emissions systems and the LML is a top runner.  Sadly doing deletes now a days is impossible thanks to the EPA crack down on the tuners and manufactures of the delete kits.  I had issues with my LML as well, sold it when the warranty expired.  My 2 LMMs were trouble free.  So far with 15,000 miles on my 2018 L5P I'm doing good.

There is zero.  The 34 dealers "showing" stock in the US either have one for a customer or are 'showing" but its not physically there yet due to the backorder.  Even the dealer that is showing 6 of them.

The best the dealer can do is put a SPAC case and then escalate it as far up as they can with their district manager.  Then wait.

As expected, no parts. So my 2020 truck sits while the $1100 per month payment keeps right on going. And of course, they offer me a little ******-box to drive in the meantime. I have a snowmobile trip to Maine and need a truck. I am not a happy camper.

Anyone know what part number is needed for the P20C1 Reductant Heater "C" Control Circuit/Open code?  2020 3500HD Denali

P20C1 Reductant Heater 3 Control Circuit.

Heater #3 is the second heater in the DEF tank.  Two heaters are in there, #1 and #3.  #2 is the heater in the line.

Currently, the tank heaters are serviced ONLY with a new tank assembly.  There is zero inventory, and it is on national backorder.   No dealers have any available.

Thank you for the info. I think I saw somewhere you work for GM?

How long has this back order been going on?   Do you know the part number?  84996345?

Is there any light at the end of a tunnel? Is the tunnel short or very long...  scary deal.

medium.  2-3 months maybe... Yup, unacceptable, but uncontrollable. These heaters and DEF systems have been problematic with the Cummins and Power Strokes as well, so don't feel too bad :(
